If well prepared good food served up in record time by people who actually care, all in a laid back relaxed atmosphere, then this place will likely become a regular for you. My wife & i both work in the equestrian industry (she's an equine therapist, i transport horses, & we both provide emergency response for large animals), we don't get to spend much time at sit-down dinners, but whenever we get the chance, stopping at the Shady Tree is always a pleasant break. We've been there maybe half a dozen times over the past couple of years, and in all of those times we have yet to come up with a single complaint.”

“Food is delicious and fresh. Not greasy but tasty. That’s what matters. Atmosphere is dingy and old. Since Covid they no longer serve you but will allow you to eat “food court style” inside their building. Space heaters keep you warm. The receptionist is friendly, kind, and approachable”

But struggling with Uber eats every time I order, Uber drive tells me the restaurant pick up location is wrong, it’s take them Downtown but the restaurant is in Highland. Every time I get my food late and cold. It’s need to be fixed. Rather than I personally like to visit there with my family.

“Highly suggest this neat little place in Squamish! Fantastic fusion and had the best service we've had anywhere in years, how refreshing! lol He was fantastic and we could really feel he was happy to serve you and have you as a guest in his restaurant. You know its good when you hear others around you in the restaurant saying, "Wow, this is the best Gyoza I've ever had!!! Wow...These are the best noodles ever!"lol I had a hard time not turning around to look at the dishes others were raving about..lol The prices were really good for the quality of food, we will definitely be back as my kids also loved it here. We had the Spring rolls, Miso soup, Katsu don... both Meat and Tofu Katsu were crazy good, light, tender and crispy! Definitely going to try their Gyoza, Udon stir fry and Korean chicken next time..annnnd maybe the Lemon shrimp too as I read they were also good! Well done to the entire staff here... Seriously Excellent! Thank you for the exceptional friendly service, a rare treat! :)”

“Of the thousands of beers I’ve bought and drank in BC, there is no one that makes a hazy (and other ipas) as delicious as Backcountry. Their Za is also not to be missed, dough is chewy and wonderful, pairs nicely with their Caesar salad. 👌🏼”

“Met the owner during a day trip to squamish to climb. Honestly, I've never met someone so willing and open to share about coffee as him. He is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about his coffee and it shows! Had an excellent batch brew that easily beats most of the pour overs from other third wave cafes. “This place has become our go to in the last little while. We went a few weeks ago and had the chicken bowl and it was good. Went tonight again and had the chicken bowl and the tuna bowl and they were even better this time! Super fresh and tasty, good amount of protein, veggies and sauce. Ambience is so cozy and the service is excellent. Highly recommend this place whatever part of Squamish you live in! I'm glad it's in my neighborhood 😃”
