Double Black was recommended to us by a worker at the hill. It was excellent for lunch. We had the Chicken Panini and the chocolate crepes. Both were excellent. The coffees and deserts looked great too.Kid-friendliness: There lots of kids when we were there.

Great staff great ambience! The food menu needs to be addressed, some of it is worth it while some options don't make too much sense, the blt is a bit embarrassing.. but the coffee on the other end is great, the carrot cake is dry out of a box, but the crepes are tasty..??

The most wonderful restaurant to enjoy while spending the day at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort! Staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious! Price is a little high, but the quality of the food is worth it & way better than any other options on the hill.
How lucky can a resort and its visitors be to have such a wonderful café right at their gondola! The absolutely perfect ski-break! Delicious barista-made coffee and a great variety on their food menu including lots of vegan, veg and gluten free options! And not to forget, the 'Whitetooth brewery' beers on tap, or some delicious cocktails for the perfect après-ski!

I went up to kicking horse lodge for a beautiful hike, and Double Black delivered far more then that.From the 10/10 staff, who were happy to talk and reccomend places to hike nearby, to the Vanilla bean ice cream, which was delicious and only rivaled by Avalon Ice cream, Double Black Cafe is a must go if you are in town.The coffee was delicious, and when I had nothing to do nearby, they provided me with something to read and color with.This kind of service is rarely found nowadays, and I will be coming back 100%
