“We had lunch at the Cactus Club today April 12, 2022. The location is great because parking is not a problem. Food was amazing and our server, Raeya, was outstanding. She greeted us with a most beautiful smile and warm welcome. Service was consistently good throughout the meal and Raeya was readily available. He was friendly, went above and beyond by a mile, added special twists to make our night that much better, and overall made us feel like celebrities aha! “Matthew! Was the Man! Skip had messed up big time, and had all sorts of Sauce up in my Girls Burger. Even before I could say a word of proof he had a New one fired up. Got to the Restaurant for the replacement and had the most Chipper and Friendly Man Greet me. Had a small chat and showed him Skip wouldn't even show the sauces. Gave a friendly goodbye and Coupon. Great sausage rolls, Ham and Cheese Croisants. If you want a custom cake for a party or birthday their selections are fantastic.“

In what I think was our server trying to be attentive (far too many check ins to order etc etc), we felt rushed throughout from when we arrived to when we left but she was friendly. The atmosphere, food and overall experience was very good and would not hesitate to return“

“The portions are absolutely massive - there will be take home boxes with leftovers for the men in your life. We always bring our friends and family here - the chef kills it time and time again.

Be aware that the bathrooms are a free for all - there may be a dude on a toilet next to you. It is at the best - very awkward.

“Hello again Erica Jane!! xo I just wanted to share my first "elevated event" that was so amazing!! I like to cozy up to the bar and take in the atmosphere! You did not disappoint again!! I went on Oct 3/24 for the $2.00 oysters....can I say WOW? It was. There was also live music in the bar area and this young woman was exceptional. Her voice was brilliant and I so enjoyed myself. I really enjoyed my chicken but my husband gave me a taste of his steak and wow!!, huge flavor profile. Clearly they marinade their steak because that flavor was through and through. Music by Mick was very entertaining. The cruise was delightful 😊“

“Overall Analog is a great spot for a quick grab and go coffee. Seating is a bit tight, but they do have plug-ins which I’m a fan of. The space can get a bit loud, but the ceilings and natural light help to make up for that! I got a mocha and sandwich and was happy with it. Both were really tasty, but the prices for food did feel a bit high for what I got! That said, I will be back for a grab and go coffee on the way to the beach this summer!“

““The Weight of Wanting”

Monday night. The pub sat lakeside, quiet in the off-season. A few men, alone in their routines, nursed their drinks like a dying habit. The air was thick with words, their voices loud enough to cover the silence that lived in all of them, as they tried to fix the world with opinions too worn to matter anymore.

Then the door opened.

A stranger stepped in. Not from around here. You could tell by the way his coat settled over his shoulders, by the shine of his watch that caught the bar light. Generous. Alone. Drunk.

He slid onto a stool near the locals, slapped a black metal card on the bar.

“I’m buying. What’ll it be?”

The men didn’t hesitate. Beers. Shots. The ritual.

They drank like men wandering through a desert, desperate for something to fill them, knowing it wouldn’t be enough. The whiskey burned, but it never reached the emptiness inside.

Then she walked in.

There was no rush about her. She moved like she knew she could take her time.

Tall. Blonde. A cashmere sweater that caught the light, cigarette pants that fit like they were made for her. The kind of woman men had killed for, the kind who had seen it all and remained untouched by it.

The air shifted. Conversations faltered. The men watched her the way the thirsty watch rain, as if just seeing her might be enough.

She sat at the far end of the bar. Ordered bourbon on the rocks, her voice low, steady. Her eyes didn’t meet theirs, didn’t even drift in their direction. She was somewhere else. Or maybe she was just done being seen.

The bartender leaned in close. “That’s the good stuff.”

The men nodded. They knew.

But they didn’t speak. They couldn’t.

She took her time with the drink, as though savoring a moment that wouldn’t last, even though she knew it couldn’t. The men watched her, and in the space between their stares, they felt the weight of wanting something they’d never have.

She finished her drink. Paid without a word.

Then she was gone.

The door shut softly behind her.

The men stayed in the quiet, the kind that comes after something has passed, but none of them can quite understand what it was.

The generous man cleared his throat. “Another round?”

The bartender nodded, pouring the next drink without a word.

The world outside was cold, still, dark. And the men kept drinking.

One drink at a time.“

“Stopped by Dakota’s Bar & Grill in Kelowna and honestly, it was such a refreshing experience. The vibe here is totally different from your usual bar — it’s got this warm, laid-back energy that instantly makes you feel comfortable. You can tell it’s a place where regulars and new faces mix easily, and everyone we met — staff and guests — was super friendly and welcoming.

The food really surprised us in the best way. The protein in our sandwich was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. And the cheese? Just the right amount — enough to add richness without overpowering anything. One of our sandwiches was a little extra crispy, but not in a bad way — still super enjoyable. It felt like they actually care about what they’re serving.

There’s something about Dakota’s that makes you want to stick around a little longer — maybe it’s the cozy interior, the vibe at the bar, or the fact that you don’t feel rushed. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more food off the menu. If you’re in Kelowna and want a chill spot with great service and solid eats, give this place a shot!“

I just wanted to give a shout out to her for being so accommodating and getting our food to us promptly so we had enough time to finish before boarding our flight. “We had the blacken chicken Alfredo & the sweet chilli chicken bowl, both were good. Unfortunately the kitchen was really slow and we ended up waiting around 30-40 minute for 2 dishes & the meals weren’t hot. The manager came over and apologized for the slow service and provided us with a discount and a free dessert.“
