As a group of six we were delighted to find such a lovely place to stop for brunch. Dropping our son at university was the reason for our visit. Rick the manager went out of his way to chat with us and help explain what was available. Three of us had breakfast ciabatta, a ham/cheese panini and two lots of waffles. All delicious. I took the advice of several friends and went for breakfast here. I had an enlightening talk with the owner, Leon, about Nanaimo history, the building's architecture, local art on the walls, the charming decor, coffee roasting, Italian espresso machines, baking, and his little bulldog pup. followed by a delicious avocado toast and Drumroaster coffee. Will be back the flight of waffles and whatever else the in-house baker and chef come up with. Job well done by all of them.
