“Stopped by on a quiet Sunday morning right when they opened and the espresso machine was still warming up, but the barista still got my oat milk cortado out fast and it was perfectly balanced. The exposed brick and mismatched vintage furniture give it a lived in, unpretentious vibe that a lot of coffee shops try too hard to fake. Their house made granola with yogurt was simple but clearly made fresh that day, not some mass produced tub. I travel constantly for work and this is the rare small town cafe that nails both the coffee and the atmosphere without turning it into an Instagram prop.“

“Skye-lea was wonderful with my daughter while I attended a family wedding. She arrived with totes of activities and toys. She managed bedtime like a pro and I came home to a sleeping kiddo. It was so nice to enjoy an adult evening knowing my kid was having a blast with Skye-lea.“

“I used to come here a loooot for Hot Choc but recently tried the Nelson fog (which is just a superior London Fog). Drinks are always 10/10 and idk if he is cheaper than other stores (not a local) but he for sure isnt expensive.
Also if you so wish you can talk to him about anything and get great conversation with your drink.“

“I have fond memories of going to Selkirk and getting a muffin and coffee at the Dominion to study. I stopped in late Sunday and thankfully I could grab and espresso orange, and strawberry/rhubarb white chocolate (the famous pear and white chocolate were long gone). The new owner is so kind and added fresh juices/smoothies/shakes to the menu as well as ‘hot’ breakfasts with eggs, bacon and the like. Improving on a downtown standard is impressive.“

“We went tonight to celebrate my grandson’s 11 birthday and Drake made him feel so special. Atmosphere was amazing and contributed to the experience. The best was the cheese pizza with a side of bacon, peppercorn sauce and coconut pie. Service was excellent!“
