“Love this cafe! The coffee is really good and the baked goods are delicious. My one complaint is that it is sooo busy - this is not a great place to sit and work on a laptop or read during peak hours. That said, we were able to find a seat even though it was packed, and the staff were hustling to get orders served very quickly. I would strongly recommend this cafe and will be back!“

“Skye-lea was wonderful with my daughter while I attended a family wedding. She arrived with totes of activities and toys. She managed bedtime like a pro and I came home to a sleeping kiddo. It was so nice to enjoy an adult evening knowing my kid was having a blast with Skye-lea.“

“Oh my goodness! We are so lucky to have The Rose Garden Cafe at Lakeside Park. Normally at the beach there is just a crappy concession serving greasy bad food, but the Rose Garden Cafe serves real food that’s so delicious! Truly one of the best burgers I’ve had, plus it’s in a beautiful park setting. Reasonably priced and fast friendly service. Thank you so much to the team, excellent job!“

“My husband & I enjoyed sandwiches with chips! Mine was on a house-made Egg Roll, that was delicious. We also got a bowl of soup to split- the soup for yellow split pea! SO GOOD! came with sourdough. We also bought a cookie on our way out for later. Also delicious! I would eat here more if I could as we were just visiting. Definitely recommend for a mixture of food options & choices! Sweet & cozy atmosphere!“

“I have fond memories of going to Selkirk and getting a muffin and coffee at the Dominion to study. I stopped in late Sunday and thankfully I could grab and espresso orange, and strawberry/rhubarb white chocolate (the famous pear and white chocolate were long gone). The new owner is so kind and added fresh juices/smoothies/shakes to the menu as well as ‘hot’ breakfasts with eggs, bacon and the like. Improving on a downtown standard is impressive.“

“Truthfully the best iced mocha I have ever had in my life. They even have chocolate whipped cream! The ONLY reason i didn't rate it 5 stars was because we went back the next day to try the food and get another coffee and they were closed! I thought it was a little strange to close on the weekends but im glad I got to try it once before we left town.“

“I had the most delicious cake at my friends house the other day from Cake Betty. It was so wonderful that I feel compelled to write a review. Today I went to Cake Betty with another friend who bought the most beautiful small cake for a birthday gift. The owner gave us each a cupcake to enjoy. It was the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten - white cake with butter icing and a little bit of caramel sauce. So delicate and satisfying - I could have eaten three of them :)The bakery is so cute - like a tiny bakery in London, or the West Village. A lovely historical building with a sweet little store front. Go to Cake Betty - you will not be disappointed:)“

“Busy for good reason this all ORGANIC bakery is a gem . Best healthy sourdough bread, buns cakes croissant treats soups pizza. Great coffee with organic milk or cream . The LOVE BITES are to die for great staff busy and a great breakfast or lunch spot. We love this place“
