“More than a coffee shop: freash art on the walls, monthly poetry slam, printed clothing for sale, great staff and customers who are fun and interesting to talk to. Did I miss anything? Yeah, there's a play area for kids and an informal meet-the-baby event almost every day. Sweet spot.“
“What a nice little coffee shop! Stopped by in the morning for breakfast and it was bustling, clearly a local favourite. There is a full menu for breakfast and lunch in addition to baked goods.Now I am back for tea and reading and it seems a few others are doing the same.Very nice! Will be back for sure.“

“Came here specifically due to reputation and because who doesn't appreciate a great Canadian sandwich? I had to sample: The Deli Rose; a Montreal smoked beef, roast beef, pepper jack and provolone cheese deli sandwich served with fresh onion, tomato, mustard, butter, and an in-house Yellow Deli special sauce, served on an onion roll. It was beautiful. I have travelled many lands, close and far, and tried many sandwiches in my years traversing the globe, and no sandwich has come close to the Yellow Deli's, and specifically the Deli Rose. Everything about this was perfect.“
“WOW. We ordered a small wedding cake and mini cupcakes from Cake Betty. The quality is UNBEATABLE. You absolutely have to order from them. My mother in law did a tasting with them beforehand which was lovely. We wanted to order absolutely everything. I had multiple guests tell me they don't usually like cake but they LOVED our cake. “Absolutely love this cafe! It’s so cute and had very unique drinks which are delicious! Food is always nice too with high quality ingredients at appropriate prices. Space is very homey. Only reason why I don’t give it 5 stars is because it’s SO cold in there in the winter. It’s an old building and I always see people inside wearing big coats or sweaters and know that more people who choose this spot over empire if it was heated better.“
“We visited here solely for the burger of the month: The MILF (Meatloaf I Love to Finish); as part of Nelson's Burger Month, The Vienna Café offered a spicy, smoked meatloaf burger layered with thick crispy bacon, blistered kale, crispy squash, then dressed with tea-smoked onion and apple dijon, wild mushroom aioli, and a spiced marinara topping, all served in a custom black salt brioche. The burger itself was incredible, and I think in part due to the combination of incredible sauces; the strong tea-smoked onion and apple dijon, the rich wild mushroom aioli, and the gently Spiced marinara topping all came together to what was one of the greatest sauce combinations on a burger that I have ever tried; it complimented the meatloaf, bacon, and blistered kale perfectly. The staff are incredible here, they are so warm, friendly, and inviting; such a cute place to come for a meal. I appreciated how communicative and social they are as I'm new in town, they go above and beyond for their customers. The general atmosphere is interesting, as it is seemingly part of an old vinyl and book shop - a pretty unique place with a pretty unique burger this November.“
