Red Light Ramen Reviews
Tantan Pork Ramen was great, bao bun was great too! Definitely would come back!!!
We just ate here and had the Kale Caesar and DanDan noodles and they were delicious. We've had the Ramen before and its amazing. My husband really enjoyed his cocktail, the yuzu margarita. Our server was super friendly and interested in our travels. She made us feel welcome and we enjoyed the conversation. We even just ordered a kids book she told us about for our granddaughter. Top notch service in a cozy amosphere, great food, drinks, you cant go wrong here.
Unreal service. Make a reso first though!!

Red Light Ramen offers delicious ramen, beautifully curated cocktails, and excellent service. The high-quality ingredients and options catering to dietary needs make it a favorite spot. The atmosphere, music, and the tasty art of their ramen bowls create a special dining experience every visit. It's a definite feel-good food experience that keeps customers coming back.
The place is often lively, and the ramen hits the spot, though some find it doesn’t quite compare to other local ramen spots. The matcha latte is excellent, and the ramen, rice bowls, and house kombuchas are all delicious and served quickly. The pencil art on display adds to the ambiance. While prices may be a bit high, especially for the cocktails, the quality remains top-notch. Recently, customers praised the miso pork ramen, describing it as so good they couldn’t put their bowl down and recommending it highly. The restaurant combines traditional Japanese flavors with a westernized twist, offering a smaller but quality menu. The ramen flavor is smokey but still very enjoyable, and the pork belly was described as incredible and flavorful. The chicken miso ramen also received praise for its rich flavors. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere is upscale and inviting, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Some customers felt the suggested tip of 18% was a bit high and somewhat unfair, which slightly affected their overall impression.
Recently added reviews highlight the helpful and attentive service, with one customer mentioning they enjoyed the Burger time burger and other mains, which remained tasty even the next day. Another reviewer sat at the bar and experienced great service, appreciating the many gluten-free options, including all ramen being adaptable to gluten-free diets. They expressed a wish for gluten-free beer, especially since BC has many good ones, but still said they would return and recommend the restaurant. A third customer praised the friendly staff, the cool hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, and the delicious food. They noted that this place offers a modern take on ramen, with broth that isn’t as rich as traditional ramen but thoughtfully prepared with good additions. Overall, it’s considered an underrated spot in Nelson.
