“A 5-star review for BOTH the food and the service. The food is exceptionally good. The service is also exceptionally good with my extremely knowledgeable server. My server really knows how to recommend the flow of drink to appetizer (soup) to main course to dessert. 1. Shrub - Nelson Olive Oil Co. Aromatic balsamic specialty + Blueberries + Soda 2. “I've been coming here now once or twice a year for almost a decade from Spokane. Everything is delicious. And it's hard to choose because the menu is so varied! The calamari is divine. Eating outside in the summer to the scent of fresh mint is my happy place.“

“How Shang Sway Tea House is an absolute treasure — lovingly run by a sweet elderly couple for the past 15 years. It’s hard to believe that everything here is made without onion, garlic, or meat, yet the dishes are so flavorful, satisfying, and perfectly balanced!
The food feels light but fulfilling, leaving you energized rather than heavy. Every bite tastes fresh, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s also amazing to know that everything is vegan and gluten-free, yet packed with rich, authentic flavors that rival any restaurant.

“Some of the best hotdogs and milkshakes ever! Their milkshakes are very decent size (two big scoops) so make sure you are not too full! Great staff and awesome patio to enjoy the weather. Lots of free parking in the residential area behind at the top of the hill.“

“We are not from here and wanted Mexican food, we were not disappointed! We were greeted by Amazing staff! JO was an AMAZING server, she explained the menu and cocktails. They make their own in house hibiscus tea for margaritas OUTSTANDING flavour and service! A MUST TRY!“

“We had Pizza Mike come and feed the guests at our wedding reception. He was beyond accommodating and friendly, and the food was amazing. Thors Pizza is a must in Nelson. 10/10“

“This place is magical! Looks like a hobbit house, we had a good time, theatrical set up. Everything is so fresh.
The only ick is there is not a ton of options on the menu.
I will still go back and enjoy the ambiance!“

“Great food. Love the well integrated spices and flavours. Don’t forget to check out the KTK Masala shop across the street! You can get their sauces and chutneys to take home, and all kinds of other ethic delights, asian & local produce AND locally grown gourmet mushrooms. What a treat!“

“Great food and service! The cocktail list is interesting and creative. I had the Marlin Brando. Sweet and tart deliciousness. They have a lunch special that sounded really good but I chose the Yum-Son noodle bowl. The meat was done perfectly and the sauce and other “stuff” was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the yellow curry. Also excellent! My only negative was the tip prompt on the pos terminal started at 22%.... I think that’s an industry trend though.“
