I have been going here for years. The food is excellent, authentic and the staff are amazing! I suspect with their going viral recently has led to some reviews which are not real but an attempt by mediocre establishments to have their clients return??😋
The food sucked, they just drop the food at your table and never come back, the walls are disgusting and don’t look like they’ve been cleaned since 1971, their washroom looks like a street washroom in the downtown eastside and you have to go up to the front to pay and they looked at me like, why isn’t he giving us a tip :(
As a Mexican is very sad to post a negative review about this place.
We have to prepare mentally every time we want to eat at Taqueria Playa Tropical in order to not get upset with the service.
The food is decent most of the time; hit and miss.
After each visit I swear not to come back but my nostalgia brings me back as is the closest thing to what I eat back home.
But today, once again, the service was one of the worst. Rude server. He looked miserable doing his job...read full review
