Grabbed dinner here with a few friends last weekend and the sashimi platter was easily the freshest we've had in New West in a while. The chef at the counter actually walked us through what was in season that night, which felt like a nice touch instead of just handing over a menu. We went around 7pm on a Saturday and even though it was packed, service stayed quick and friendly the whole time. Already planning to go back and try the omakase next time.
We stopped by Sunday morning before the crowds hit and the omakase set was honestly worth getting up early for, especially the torched salmon. My husband and I have been checking out little spots all over the Lower Mainland and this one easily made our list of favorites in New West. We stopped by Kojima Sushi on a Tuesday evening after a full day of walking around New Westminster and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and relaxed it was. My husband ordered the chirashi bowl and I had the salmon oshi sushi, and both were fresh and generously portioned for the price. The staff were warm and patient with us as we asked a bunch of questions about the menu, never once making us feel rushed.
