“Went here yesterday. Rachel was our server. She was wonderful! We sat in the covered section of the patio, so traffic noise outside was minimized. My wife had the tuna poke and loved it. I had the delicious Swiss burger and fries. There was one small glitch - the fries were only luke-warm. But Rachel quickly got them replaced with hot, hot fries! I devoured all of them. We don't live close to this place (we are about an hour away), but we won't hesitate to stop in again the next time we are in the vicinity. Two thumbs up to both the restaurant and to Rachel!“

“Our waitress Jaclyn was a real crowd pleaser! She was high energy from the first hello to the final goodbye. She got to know us and when she learned about our love of pickle backs… next thing we know there is a round coming to our table! What a great surprise and a fun way to transition from dinner to the concert we were seeing. The Sports Bar also had staff present to help direct and walk along customers from the sports bar to a near by door for easy access to Rogers arena as a private event was blocking the usual door. This was a nice touch as we feared we would have to wait in the long lines outside in the rain. Once again the team at the Sports Bars went above and beyond. “Recently visited Babylon Cafe on Denman Street and honestly had such a great experience. The location is amazing — just steps from English Bay beach, making it the perfect place to grab food and relax after a walk by the water.

We tried their shawarma platters and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and very authentic. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the rice was cooked really well, and the sauces added so much flavor to the meal. You can definitely tell they focus on quality and presentation.

Their drinks and cocktails were also really good and added so much to the overall experience. It’s one of those places where you can sit back, enjoy good food, have a few drinks, and genuinely spend a relaxing evening with friends or family. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming, and has a very nice beachside vibe.

A huge shoutout to Habibi, the owner, for the amazing hospitality and service. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Customer service like this honestly makes a place stand out even more.

Another thing we appreciated was the pricing. For the quality, portion sizes, location, and overall experience, the prices are actually very reasonable for downtown Vancouver.

Definitely recommend Babylon Cafe if you’re around Denman Street or English Bay and looking for flavorful Mediterranean food, good drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again!“

“Had a great time at Court-side during the Elite 8. Service was fantastic and staff was very nice. The food was delicious especially the chicken sandwich. They even let us fill out their bracket after our team won. We’ll definitely be going back and highly recommend especially for a basketball game.“

“Today my friend and I stopped in for a quick cold beer, we found this place to be inviting. The members/customers were all very friendly and helpful. They have a nice little pool table, pull tabs, cheap beers, friendly staff, and a smoking area that had a nice breeze way. The place is very organized, very clean and well run. There are lots of things such as events, and draws and raffles going on here steady throughout the week and weekends in the summer. The decor is very fresh and it has a really nice upbeat feel to the place. My friend and I are definetly coming back more often.“
