“We had our wedding reception here, let me start off by saying the manager/owner was so sweet, she and her husband were so quick to confirm that we could hold our wedding here. She offered to create a sign for outside the restaurant, always quickly responded to any questions or concerns. They also ordered just for our event extra tables and chairs. The employees/waiters/waitresses here are so sweet and attentive, and for their first experience doing a wedding, I was impressed with how well they adapted to the chaos of at capacity customers and crowds. The magic of the day can not happen without the people behind the scenes hustling to make it special. Waffleland cafe is so beautiful and a sweet gem in the heart of Gastown, we are so lucky to be the first wedding and I just know there will be more. Cute, whimsical, romantic decor made it so easy to add little bits to customize it to our celestial/forest. We were given a little card/gift from the owner and a sweet card that we read as we left the event. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you again Waffleland team!“

“Friendly staff. Tried the black sugar milk tea w pearls last time which the pearls were nice and chewy but drink didn't taste milk or tea. This time I tried the matcha mango latte w mango pearls, drink was good and the mango pearls texture feel more like hard jelly than pearls but were yummy anyway“

“Okay, I fell for the hype and ordered the black sesame first — rich, creamy, and completely worth it. I was in pastry heaven.

That is, until my husband shouted mid-line, “Get the Portuguese tart too!”

I didn’t think anything could top the black sesame… but here we are. Let me officially declare my love for the Portuguese egg tart at Eggette. It’s flaky, silky, perfect — pure egg magic in pastry form. I’d call it egg art. Or egg poetry.

I will never forgive my husband for increasing my daily calorie intake… but I will forever thank him for pushing me to try both.

“I came here on saturday for brunch with some friends and our server Daisy was so warm and welcoming. I asked if I could replace the avocado with onion in my meatless poutine and she was very accommodating. Excellent service and the food was delicious! I will be definitely be back again soon!“

Tried mango milk tea and it was tasty + quite sweet (we asked for less).
There are a few tables to sit at and wasn’t very busy on a weekend.
They also have waffles / ice cream.“

“Great place for noodle soup and rice dishes. And a very great deal since it also comes with a drink. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and they are consistently excellent.

It's good to go when they open. During lunchtime, the food court can get pretty busy. There are a lot of seats around. And it's very clean.

I recommend coming here if you want noodle soup.“
