“4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”

“I don’t know Thai food well so I usually ask for recommendations. I’ve had multiple staff members not able to recommend me anything cause they don’t understand what I’m asking them. I find it challenging. If they fixed this I’d happily order from this place. I’ve heard good things but communication barriers are challenging”

“My family had lunch here today. Greeter at the door was very friendly and helped us right away. We chose to sit outside and watch the airplanes. Waitress was very friendly and professional. The food was fast and hot. The three of us agreed one of the best meals out in a long time. We will be back for sure.”

“I just wanted to say, my girlfriend invited me for Thanksgiving dinner, of which was ordered from the shady rest restaurant, and I have to tell you it was absolutely wonderful. The dinner was everything you wanted within a Thanksgiving dinner. The flavours were wonderful. I will say your pumpkin pie was just perfect.The homemade cranberry sauce was tremendous, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who prepared this meal to allow us to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner.
