This has the most authentic schnitzel and spaetzle I’ve tasted in BC! I’ve never been to Germany so don’t take my word for it though. However, it’s a solid meal and excellent value. Reservations are recommended if you’re coming during typical dinner hours and weekends. Most of the entrees are around $26 which I think is a great deal for the amount of food you get. They have about 20+ combos to choose from.
A Gemuetlich family friendly restaurant, near the beach in Qualicum. The restaurant had a real German Gasthaus feel to it- including an outdoor seating area. The schnitzel offerings were creative and the beer was on tap, prices reasonable. Service was friendly and quick. I had the Qualicum Schnitzel- who would have thought adding bacon and apple to the schnitzel would taste so good? The Spaetzle (egg noodles) tasted fresh and home made. The beans were cooked just right and tasty....

You can see what the place used to be. The exterior now is a crossover of a seaside burger shack and the former charm of the building. The siding of the house hasn’t been treated in a while.
You sit on plastic chairs that are close to collapsing (my actual full complaint)...
