This is by far the best Cantonese restaurant I’ve tried in Richmond! Every dish I’ve had here has been delicious and truly authentic — classic Cantonese flavors done perfectly. I’ve been here a few times already (two or three times), and every visit has been excellent. Highly recommend!

Great service and highly recommend Pork Stomach & Ginko Long-boiled Soup. Reservation needed for seats and popular dishes

I used to really like this place, but today was a huge disappointment. We ordered four dishes and every single one was bad. The chicken was the worst I’ve ever had—greasy yet dry. The pork liver was mediocre, and the claypot rice was shockingly bad.
We also ordered lobster, but they didn’t show it to us alive or confirm the weight before cooking—just served it straight away. The chicken and pork liver were left unfinished, and I asked to pack up the leftover lobster. When I got home, I realized they didn’t even include the lobster head.
I don’t mind paying high prices, but the food has to taste good and the service should be professional. Sadly, it wasn’t. Won’t be coming back.

Food is good but horrible service and rude manager. Flies inside the restaurant, lot of garbage in the parking. The manager was checking on his cell phone rather than serving customers.

Formerly known as the “Bamboo Grove Dining Room and Coffee Shop” half a century ago, is now traditional Cantonese style family meals. They have wone numerous Metro Vancouver Chinese Restaurant Awards since 2010 as well as Chinese Restaurant Awards Critic’s choice. From the outside it looks dated, parking situation not the best, spacious interior quite upscale.
Service definitely on par with the vibe, not your family course set menu so a little more pricey, but the food is absolutely amazing, you get what you paid for. Every single dish is delicious and I would consider it a hidden gem ?
4 stars because of the parking and the crowd wait as we didn't have reservation but I guess that is a good thing.

Ordered Stir Fried Clamp Meat with Leek & Bean Spouts which is $52. The clamp meat has sand in it, so we did not eat it at all. Told them about it, but nothing happened. So basically, $52 for some leek and bean sprouts. Lovely, eh?
Also, like everyone else who pointed out, the menu has no price, which is up to their morals and mood to WRITE on the bill which is illegible. Advice everyone to do the math before blindly paying. Of course, they won't just tell you the price without you asking.
We were charged an extra dollar for the same dish as listed on the website menu. There are also dishes not displayed online.
Finally, yes, POS machine has 15% tips as minimum, while we pour tea ourselves.
Parking: Free parking was full, so had to pay for street parking

Restaurantji Recommends
Really authentic Cantonese restaurant. Food is not salty nor oily and it is in perfect balance. Portion is big and ingredients are fresh with good quality. Recommend to make reservation and some of the signature dish needs to be pre ordered. We are parties of 7 and the cost is $61 per person including tax and tips. Definitely recommend and will be my to go spot for Cantonese food. The only downside is the air conditioner is not working too well. And it can get a bit hot inside the restaurant. Maybe the private rooms are better. The woman’s washroom doors are broken and cannot be locked. But I would definitely go back for the food!
Parking: Limited parking stall around at the back of the restaurant

Traditional Cantonese restaurant. General speaking, food is quite good. I think we will probably go back for the taste.

The food was decent, must pre-order. They refused to let me pay with Amex when the POS machine does take Amex. The waiter was peeping behind me to see what I was doing on my phone (perhaps trying to see if I was writing a review) when I was looking something up on Google Maps. My friend caught him and he ran away.
