King Fried Chicken K记炸鸡 is a restaurant considered perfect for takeout or delivery, and it also opens late. The fried chicken is frequently described as absolutely delicious, one of the best in Richmond, cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and very juicy and tender on the inside. The popcorn chicken is also delicious, crispy and flavorful with a little kick of spice. The Angus Beef Burger is very tasty, better than at other chains, and all of the burgers are some of the best ever had. The New Orleans roasted chicken sandwich is delicious. The pepper fried chicken legs are not spicy and are pretty tasty, juicy, and tender. Waffle fries are spot on. However, yam fries can taste limped and not crispy from steaming in the container. Egg tarts are not the prettiest but the taste is okay, though they can be quite small with a flakey crust and too little custard filling. A chicken wrap had a red sauce that tasted bitter. The place is clean and well-kept, but the ambience is not great, with cheap plastic tables and chairs and no vibe. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, though one person servicing at the counter seemed barely able to stay awake and bored. Food comes out quickly and is freshly prepared, though allow ten to twenty minutes for the order to be ready. Generous portions and great value for money are noted. Service is decently fast and amazing. Many reviewers highly recommend the fried chicken and the burgers, but not necessarily all other offerings. Credit cards are accepted. The restaurant is temporarily on vacation and will reopen on March 20.
