Bruno offers a tasting menu with good food, although portions can be small. The atmosphere is nice and cute, making it a great spot for special occasions like post-wedding dinners. Many find it a nice place for brunch as well, with great service. The restaurant is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Vancouver Airport and a 5-minute walk from the train. While some customers have enjoyed drinks and appetizers, others have expressed disappointment about the freshness of ingredients and the limited cocktail menu. The staff is attentive, but improvements are needed for details like coffee temperature and bread accompaniments. Bruno's location in the main lobby of Versante Hotel features cool, modern decor and is suitable for large group parties.
The dinner menu has received praise, particularly for the pork tomahawk and the standout Tiramisu, which many describe as a must-try. For breakfast, the smoked salmon omelette has also been noted as fantastic. Some guests have experienced slow service, with food taking a long time to arrive, and have noted that the overall value may not always meet expectations. One visit included a birthday celebration with the birthday tiramisu, and the Loaf was highly enjoyed, along with the brulee foie gras butter, a unique dish not found elsewhere. The artichoke dip and chips were considered okay, and the Kusshis remain consistently good. The sablefish was delicious, though the lobster bisque was a bit salty for some. The duck and potato pave were well received, contributing to a generally great culinary experience. However, there have been complaints about a decline in food taste and quality since previous visits, with some noting that their breakfast menu was better before, and that oysters served recently were overgrown and difficult to eat.
