Not sure why so many people highly recommended this place for laksa…I tried the fish ball laksa, and it’s bland and flavourless…it’s quick to serve, which means they have the base soup and add whatever we order to the soup, so that’s why it tasted things were irrelevant in the soup. I could taste coconut milk from the bottom of the soup. I would expect more for a $12 laksa.
Malaysian place in the Pacific Plaza food court. Looks like this counter has been around for a while. Parking is available in the mall parkade. Staff are friendly. Booth is run by 1 guy. As the place looked Malaysian, I decided to try the beef rib laksa. There are several variants (basically different types of meat available). This place uses vermicelli instead of egg noodles. I enjoyed the food, but the person operating the till went out of her way to be helpful and accomodating. It’s cash only, but she let me do an Interac etransfer. She also brought out my food to me: I’m on crutches right now and was with my family, so one of them could have gone to get it (which was the plan).
