Our 3 lunch orders were messed up - components of each of our requested bowls were mixed up amongst all the bowls. I got this component I asked for, plus this component someone else requested, while they didn’t get that one but got that instead, etc. After quite a bit of back and forth (they initially rejected my senior mom’s polite queries about the incorrect orders provided) they replaced the bowl of the person who was most dismayed about the bowl they received. My bowl tasted alright, though I don’t actually know what bowl I ended up eating. Wouldn’t order the colada drink again. Regret not going to the taco place next door instead. When going for lunch is as expensive as it is these days, you wish for a nice experience as well as food you ordered. Unfortunately we didn’t really get either.

Absolutely love it! Hula exceeded my expectations. The quality is amazing and everything arrived just as described. You can tell they really care about the details, and the whole experience from ordering to using it felt smooth and thoughtful. I rarely leave reviews, but this one definitely deserved a solid 5 stars. Highly recommend to anyone considering it!

Extremely bad food. More lettuce than very few rice and salmon. Very pricey also. Definitely do not come here

I ordered at this location and its so terrible. We tried our first Poke bowl at Metrotown station and the experience was 10/10. I understand this could be very busy location but that should not affect the quality of your servings. We went for the peruvian spicy citrus. The same we’ve tried before at Metrotown and this one was really bad. Only few pieces of ahi tuna and a super thick and awful sushi rice ? It was very disappointing
I always have a great experience at Hula. All the ingredients are refreshing and the staff is also welcoming.

I had a fantastic experience yesterday at Hula Poke at YVR Airport! We arrived right around closing time and fully expected to be turned away, but the staff welcomed us with a warm smile and didn’t hesitate to serve us all who were there. It was such a refreshing act of kindness, especially at the end of a long travel day.
The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented — you could tell it was made with care, not rushed at all despite the late hour. The friendly attitude and excellent service really made a difference and left a lasting impression. Big thank you to the team for going above and beyond!
Highly recommend stopping by Hula Poke if you're at YVR. Amazing food and even better people.

Stopped by for a quick snack while shopping and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the Hula experience I’m used to. I ordered the Tiki Bowl and was disappointed to find only four small pieces of diced salmon—definitely not the portion size I expected.
What made the visit more disappointing was the staff. They seemed disengaged, more focused on their phones and chatting with each other than helping customers. It felt like they just didn’t care.
I’ve had Hula at the airport location and it’s a completely different experience—friendly, efficient staff and consistent portions every time. Sadly, this outlet location falls short in both service and quality.

I recently had the pleasure of trying a poke bowl from this spot, and I have to say—it exceeded my expectations in every way. I ordered the Ponzu flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. From the first bite, it was clear that a lot of care and attention to detail had gone into crafting the flavors and selecting fresh ingredients.
The Ponzu sauce was the real star of the show for me. It had a vibrant citrusy tang with just the right balance of salty soy flavor that really brought the entire bowl together. Sometimes, ponzu sauces can be too overpowering or too acidic, but this one was perfectly balanced. It added a refreshing brightness to every bite, making the whole meal feel light, fresh, and incredibly satisfying.
I also appreciated the fact that they had thoughtful vegetarian and vegan options available. I went with the tofu as my protein choice, and I was very impressed. The tofu was nicely marinated, with a texture that held up well alongside the veggies and rice. It didn’t feel like an afterthought, as tofu sometimes can—this was clearly a well-considered part of the dish. For anyone following a plant-based diet, this spot definitely delivers in both quality and variety.
As for the rest of the bowl, it was loaded with colorful, fresh toppings that complemented each other beautifully. From crunchy cucumbers and shredded carrots to creamy avocado and seaweed salad, every ingredient was crisp, flavorful, and thoughtfully portioned. I could tell everything had been freshly prepped, which really elevated the entire meal.
Portion size was generous without being overwhelming. It felt like a healthy, filling meal without being too heavy. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or a casual dinner, this poke bowl hits the sweet spot between flavor, nutrition, and value.
The presentation was also on point. Even though I ordered takeout, the bowl was arranged nicely, and it looked just as good as it tasted. You can tell the staff here takes pride in what they serve.
Service was friendly and efficient. The staff were helpful when I asked about vegetarian options and explained the different sauces clearly, helping me choose the Ponzu flavor. It’s always a plus when employees are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer suggestions.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great poke bowl. Whether you're a longtime poke lover or trying it for the first time, this spot delivers on quality, taste, and service. The Ponzu flavor alone is worth a repeat visit, and I’m already looking forward to trying their other sauces and topping combinations. Bonus points for being vegetarian- and vegan-friendly!
If you're in the mood for something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I know I’ll be back soon!

Proportions were off!!!
I have been eating hula’s poke bowl for more than a year now, and this time got to try it from the outlet mall location near the YVR airport. Me and my boyfriend ordered one Tikki and one Peruvian for lunch. We were disappointed to see that more than half the bowl was just rice. You typically aim for a balance of protein and greens when you order a poke bowl , but this time it ended up being just a lot of poorly seasoned carbs. The sauce to rice ratio was also off and there were barely 5 tuna pieces in the entire bowl.
