Pancake breakfast with sausage and eggs. Oil used seemed to leave a stale taste. Pancake syrup was pretty watery. Parking in attached lot was hard to get at a busy time. Waited for 10 min for table. I prefer the other big chain.

We ordered signature banana pancakes and breakfast sampler, the food taste great! I appreciate the coffee pot on each table so that I don’t need to worry about refilling coffee. The staff are friendly as always

Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and it was a complete joke barely any chicken, and the so-called “avocado” was literally the size of a pea. It took over 45 minutes just to get this pathetic excuse for food, and when it finally came out, it wasn’t even worth a single bite. The service was just as bad as the food slow, careless, and completely unprofessional. I used to enjoy coming here, but after this disaster, I will never be back. Total waste of time and money. Thank you IHOP

This review is as a Brit visiting Canada for the first time.
Loved what I take to be a proper breakfast Canadian experience of IHOP! My family all ordered pancake stacks which were big, fluffy, very sweet and filling. Didn’t need to eat again till late evening! Price seemed relatively good and quality was good, hearty and fun rather than fussy and gourmet.
My partner and I had a very bad experience for brunch. It wasn't busy as it was 1:30pm in the afternoon, so after being seated we waited for a server to take our order. After being ignored for 10 mins, I had to flag down the waitress. She looked annoyed and took our order and then the service stopped. We waited for almost 1/2 hr and still no food! I flagged down this young man, who I think was the host and asked him to bring our waitress over as we wanted her to check on our food. She never came over and the young man said our order was coming up next. So, she probably didn't even put our order in. When food finally arrived, my partner politely asked why it took so long. She blamed the kitchen even though it wasn't busy at all as it was past 2:00pm in the afternoon! She didn't apologize at all and came across as rude and dismissive. It was very obvious she didn't want to serve us. Never had such a rude server in my life!

We visited IHOP in Richmond as it was open early and we were bringing a friend to the airport. There is a parking lot for this location and the inside was filled with booth seating and early risers enjoying their coffee and breakfast. All three of us ordered the combo which came with pancakes, hash brown, eggs, and either bacon/sausage. We also ordered coffee which had unlimited refills. Our waitress was very nice and chatty. Food was just ok with the hash brown being a little bit on the hard and dry side and the pancakes being a bit too sweet. For instance, the strawberry and banana pancake didn’t have actual strawberries but like a strawberry jam sort of sauce which made the pancake overly sweet. The combo was reasonably priced but the food taste could use some improvement.
