The portions were ridiculously small, and the waiters chatted loudly all the time, which was very disrespectful and no experience at all.The food tastes pretty good, the noodles are quite chewy and there is no alkaline taste, the beef is not rotten enough, and the tendons are quite soft.

Excellent food. Just don't mind the service or the furniture. Typical Chinese joint. We go their fire the food. I eat there frequently.

I hope they stop increasing the prices as it's getting out of hand. $13 for a 2 biter with wontons now the size of quail eggs. When it was $9 a couple years back with 3x larger wontons, it was an okay deal. It still tastes as good as ever, but hella not worth it.

I can't believe how small the wonton really is. Before it was a nice size wonton..now it's smaller than my pinkie finger. There has been an increase in price and a decrease in product. There are many places for better prices and the same product than these wonton noodles here.

Wonton & noodle soup good but wontons are small and the serving is very small for $15. Normal guy would not be full. Other Richmond restaurants have just as good wonton but cheaper.

Got the noodle and wonton soup. It came with a mix of shrimp wontons and pork + wood ear mushroom wontons, both were tasty.

I had heard that this spot was comparable to Mikes noodle house in Seattle so I came here with a group of my friends while we were visiting VBC. There are a variety of noodles soups, wontons and dumplings, noodle dishes, and congees. Overall, Max’s was alright but I still prefer Mike’s in Seattle.FoodI ordered the braised beef wonton noodle soup and it was alright. The wontons were my favorite part of the dish but they were pretty small and few of them. The noodles were good and the beef was soft and tender. My girlfriend ordered the congee and I tried a bite of it and it was good as well.AtmosphereWe went on a Saturday evening for dinner with a group of 10 people and we were seated immediately (partly due to it being completely empty). Large restaurant with plenty of seating at tables or booths. Clean in the inside and good for a family setting.PricingPrices were similar (13.5 CAD) similar when compared to Mikes noodle house in Seattle (13.5 USD for large). But I feel like the portion size and taste was not up to par compared to Mikes.ServiceService was good and staff was friendly. They were able to bring out the food quickly and accurately despite our large group.OtherPlenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

Wonton soup:The very famous wonton soup was quite disappointing, quite expensive for very small portion, and taste just like any other wonton soup at other restaurants.Claypot rice:We called to order 20 mins before we go, again very disappointing, rice way too stiff, instead of partly crispy rice crust mix with regular cooked rice..it was just too stiff to chew that both of us can't even finish that one pot... and I was expecting more flavor for the BBQ sausage and sparerib pot, but it was very light in flavor...Vegetable:Just blanched veggies with Oyster sauce, nothing really special but quite expensiveDeep fried dace fish balls:Not a fan of the flavor or texture...and 17 bucks for 6 balls, too expensive for a "snack" optionService:Server was nice and attentive.Atmosphere:Very traditional Cantonese restaurant interior with plenty of crowded seats, and some booth seats available, quite dark inside.

Ordered one wonton tendon soup noodle (take out). Noodle was of very poor quality. Wonton was okay with spicy and with noticeable fish bone powder. Tendon tasted great. Staff service was much below standard - very impatient & incompetent. Blamed customer for error she made but finally realized it and expressed verbally she had too much to handle.Disappointed with food quality & staff service. Won't recommend it.
