About Max Noodle House

Max Noodle House is a popular spot known for its Hong Kong style egg noodles, especially the delicate and delicious extra fine noodle version. The restaurant offers satisfying portion sizes, emphasizing quality over quantity. The lo mein with spicy brown pork sauce is a favorite among customers. Their wonton noodles are highly praised, with the soup being tasty and the noodle texture maintaining a true Guandong style. The chicken and black mushroom congee is soft, warm, and velvety with balanced flavor, while the beef brisket wonton noodle soup features tender brisket and a rich umami broth. The spring rolls are crispy yet juicy inside, and the chicken wings are perfectly crispy and flavorful. The beef brisket noodles are good, and the congee is soft and flavorful, served in traditional small bowls that still feel satisfying. The restaurant has a cozy, homey vibe with friendly and attentive staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Parking can be busy due to the mall setting, but there are spots available if you go through the alleyway on the left. Max Noodle House is considered by many as one of the most authentic wonton noodle places in Canada, with the wontons being full of flavor and the noodles having that true springy bite. Overall, the experience combines great food, friendly service, and a warm environment.

The quality of the food is good. The portion of the food is too little.

I got the beef brisket and tendon wonton soup. It tasted good, but the portion was TINY for the price point ($16.50 + taxes/ tip, four wontons and maybe three bites of brisket), sadly. Service wasn’t great, but could’ve been worse. Thankfully, didn’t have a huge appetite, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Anyway, the food is fine- just be prepared for a pricey meal if you’re hungry!

Still canto comfort food at its best. Abeit pricey. Don’t forget to register your plate for free parking
