Be careful what you order, the menu was really hit or miss. The tomato broth was extremely watery, and certain cuts of beef were just not it. They do have some other good items on other parts of the menu, but for the most part we weren't extremely impressed. The servers were very kind and attentive though, so I'd be willing to give Shu Tao another chance (it just wouldn't be my first choice).
Generally impressed with this place. I like that they refill your soup with actual soup base as opposed to simply adding water. However their staff could be more attentive and wait times for dishes are sometimes slow.

Tasty tasty tasty! I actually like it better than dolar and other premium hot pot places in Richmond. The food and soup is always delicious and they have this “secret” menu of fried skewers that are epic. Make sure to ask for the skewer menu and then try the fried chicken wings and the lamb. Soooooo good.
