This is my favorite Starbucks in Richmond:) I often place mobile orders here. Today, I arrived later than the estimated pickup time, so my coffee was cold when I got there. I asked if they could reheat it, and they immediately offered to make me a fresh one instead! The staff was friendly plus their coffee is always perfect

Ordered a caramel brule latte. The server asked me particularly if I wanted whipped cream on top. I said "of course!" She goes "that's right. That's the whole point of ordering this" then we laughed. THEN, when I returned to my car, settled my 6 months old baby and his giant stroller and wanted to enjoy my drink, guess what? THERE IS NO WHIPPED CREAM ON TOP OF MY LATTE! Nice. Made my day. Disappointed.

what’s the point of having starbucks next to your place when all the drinks they make are disgusting. They always burn their espresso and mess up non espresso drinks one way or another. The only once i got my drink made right was 5 month ago. Today they forgot to add any syrup to my matcha and burnt espresso for my macchiato. This location needs better baristas

I had an amazing experience at Starbucks on 8111 Ackroyd Rd Richmond, thanks to Vijay, the barista. Vijay was incredibly friendly, engaging, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. His knowledge of the menu and attention to detail were impressive, and he provided exceptional customer service with a warm, courteous approach. It’s always a pleasure to see someone so passionate about what they do. Vijay truly elevated my Starbucks visit—he’s an absolute star! Highly recommend stopping by if you want great coffee and outstanding service.

I come here a few times a week to get coffee. There is no consistency with this store. Sometimes the drinks and food are great, sometimes it’s not. The other day i preordered my drink and food. I got there and my sandwich was ready but my drink took an extra 10 minutes. By the time my drink was ready my sandwich was cold and had become very hard and chewy. If both items are not going to be ready at the same time whats the point of this mobile service. They need to come up with a better sustem to make sure the entire order is coming out together. The staff doesnt even care youve been waiting there for 10 minutes for a drink because when i asked they stated “ its coming out in order” well shouldnt the drink and the food u ordered come out together? Jist common sense in my opinion.

My recent experiences at Starbucks have been increasingly disappointing due to inattentive service and dismissive attitudes from the staff.

On my first visit, I ordered four coffees, expecting some basic help with carrying them. The barista didn’t even ask if I needed a bag, even though carrying four drinks by hand is nearly impossible. When I requested a bag at pickup, I was told to return to the register to pay an additional $0.25. While it’s a minor amount, the lack of initiative and assistance felt dismissive, especially since my Frappuccino was served without a straw and the process was unreasonably slow.

On my second visit, things took an even worse turn. Despite specifically requesting one iced coffee and two hot coffees, all three drinks were served hot. I had also pre-paid for a bag this time, yet they handed me the drinks on a tray instead. When I reminded them that I needed a bag, a male barista, clearly irritated and almost condescending, handed me an extremely small bag that couldn’t fit the drinks. When I questioned him, he didn’t offer any help, and it was only after another female barista tossed me a slightly larger bag that I could try to pack everything myself. The staff’s inattentiveness and dismissive attitude left me feeling disrespected and undervalued.

After both visits, I felt that the service was far below the standard I expect from Starbucks, especially considering I left tips each time. This experience has made me question not only tipping but whether I’ll even return to Starbucks in the future.

Today was free holiday red cup day and I was so excited.
I ordered 3 hot chocolate through the mobile app right after 5:30am.
When I picked it up, they said they can’t give me the red cup. I showed them the qualified drink list on their website but they still refused to give me.
I asked if I can cancel my 3 hot chocolate and order another qualified drinks but they didn’t like to do it. They weren’t even busy cuz it was before 6am. Well, I wasn’t going to get any if I don’t get the red cup. I just wasted my time and money for the drink which I don’t even really care at 6am in the morning.
It supposed to show appreciation to the customer cuz Christmas coming ended up making customer confuse and upset.
Hope nobody else would have the same experience as me…..
By the way hot chocolate was really good.

3/4 of ice what a scam. they act like the it’s coming out of their pocket, i’m not asking for 3/4 ice i want the drink itself. this is like chipotle but the beverage version.

This starbucks deserves a 5 star review. Here's why.

I bought a Starwberry Açaí Lemonade starbucks refreshers beverage and they gave me a lot of strawberries.

Not just that, the service is great and fast, the washroom is clean, and there are a lot of seats inside.

And if you go to, let's say Safeway starbucks, you can't pre-order here. But here you can! Thanks starbucks.

Placed a mobile order and it said it was ready in 5-10 minutes. I got there and it said it was ready to go on my app, but there was only the food. I waited 15 minutes for the drinks, and while i was waiting I saw one barista make my drink, then leave it on the counter for 5 minutes, then another barista put on a lid without finishing the drink, and when I told her it was missing things, she completely brushed off my comment. I got the attention of another barista and she finished the drink for me.
There should be a better system at this location. I understand that it is busy and one person can only do so much, but simply communicating and having good customer service would make such a difference.

worst starbucks ever

At 10 a.m., I used the Starbucks app to place an order for a coffee. Then, I drove to Starbucks and waited for the coffee. At first, I thought it was crowded, so it might take a little longer. However, as time passed, more and more people who ordered on-site after me received their coffees. After waiting for another five minutes, at 10:25, I asked the staff about my order. The staff didn’t say anything, just checked the system for my order, and then told me to wait another five minutes. After that, it took less than one or two minutes for my coffee to be ready. I seriously suspect they forgot my order. I don’t understand the point of ordering a coffee through the app 30 minutes in advance. Is the person who orders through the app the one who ends up waiting the longest? The app is entirely pointless and has wasted my time.

The coffee in this shop tastes much worse than other coffee shops. I ordered white chocolate Mac cold brew and there was very little foam on it. There was too much ice in the cold brew, which resulted in a very bland taste! It's very different from what I ordered elsewhere. I won't order from this place again.
