“Rheinhessen Village of Dalsheim, only kilometres from the Rhine, is famous for winemaking since the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 8th Generation Winery. Inspired by the regional terroir and historic possibilities, Christian Schales planted his first vineyard in 1783 and started Weingut Schales. Fast forward to Bernd Schales and wife Stefanie whom directed a path over the pond and landed in the Okanagan in 2003. They purchased a small lot, grew grapes and produced for other wineries until they decided to acquire the Summerland acreage and facility to resume the Schales family legacy in Canada. “As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of Canada, it was a winery kind of day my 4th stop of the day, did a wine tasting followed by restaurant. Wine tasting is cheap $6 and staff are vibrant and friendly. My favourite was Hush Red, which I ordered a glass for with my Honey Bourban Chicken Pizza. Lovely place to enjoy lunch, beautiful venue.“

“Excellent place to marvel Central European-mostly Polish- flavours. Schnitzel with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut was a classic in a menu and did not disappoint. Lunch special (variety of pierogis, cabbage roll and meat ball) was not only price-friendly but truly delicious. And cold Polish beer crowned the a spectacular experience. The place itself is rather humble, but spacious & clean. Parking can be a problem but it's worth an effort. The owners moved to here from Eastern Canada some time ago, and Penticton got truly remarkable place since.“

“Even with children in the restaurant it was quiet and food was pretty darn good I was not a fan of the fact my veggie spring rolls had sea food taste but it was one of 4 so it was not bad we had three rice bowls chicken teryaki ginger beef and sweet and sour my favorite was sweet and sour the teryaki chicken had a different flavour on it likely a stronger taste on the grill at at the same time or before. The server was cute. Friendly is more so what was important and very astute :p!“

“Barley Mill never dissapoints. Well worth the price, I got the power bowl with grilled chicken. It was a big serving and had excellent flavors. My partner got the fish and chips. The fries are beer battered and my personal favorite out of any restaurant in Penticton. I also got the strawberry margarita slush & my partner had the purple rain. Definitely a town favorite for us. Will be back soon!“

“Had an amazing dinner tonight at Pita Nutso. We had Caesar salad with prawns, 3 types of wings and shawarma chicken poutine. The poutine was HUGE! the prawns buttery delicious and the wings cooked to perfection. All this for the very low price of $55. 3 people fully fed and 2 togo boxes as well. Would recommend for everyone!“
