“What a fun place to visit! Your tasting is free with the purchase of two bottles, and they have great places to sit, with indoor AC for people who don't enjoy the heat. Wine comes in a flight with a map, so you don't lose track of what you're offered. John was fun to talk to and gave us a tour of the giant steel and concrete vats. Great experience, thanks!“
“Very friendly, awesome wines, great time“
“I'm not a huge wine drinker. But your strawberry rhubarb wine is awesome:)“

“A gorgeous little gem totally worth visiting!“
“Rheinhessen Village of Dalsheim, only kilometres from the Rhine, is famous for winemaking since the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 8th Generation Winery. Inspired by the regional terroir and historic possibilities, Christian Schales planted his first vineyard in 1783 and started Weingut Schales. Fast forward to Bernd Schales and wife Stefanie whom directed a path over the pond and landed in the Okanagan in 2003. They purchased a small lot, grew grapes and produced for other wineries until they decided to acquire the Summerland acreage and facility to resume the Schales family legacy in Canada. I’ve visited the Mosel, Baden, Pfalz, Mittel-Rhein and Rheinhessen regions… these wines are distinctively and beautifully German inspired. — At 8th Generation Winery“
“We came here for my bachelor party last week. They opened just for our group and we had an absolute blast. Jess and Leo took such great care of us. Thank you for sharing your passion and for making my weekend so special. I will definitely be back again.“
“I don't remember the young man's name who helped us with our wine tasting but he was excellent and helpful. We ended up buying two bottles of wine. The Gerzt (I can't pronounce it let alone spell it😁) and the resling. Looking forward to sharing these with our friends back in Bonnyville!“
“What a wonderful place to visit. We have been visiting when we can since 2004 and this is one of our favourite wineries. We truly love the staff each time. It makes a difference when they care and they do. We cannot recommend this winery more.“
“Husband and I had a fabulous visit here today. Highly recommended and loved our chat with Kon about his experience and where he and his family came from and last but not least loved playing ball with Moose 😊“
“Simply the best! Can’t find better wine on the bench!“
“One of the best winery experiences we’ve ever had! 🍷 The wines were exceptional, the vineyard views were stunning, and the staff made us feel truly welcome. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Okanagan. Highly recommend visiting Red Rooster Winery!“
“ROCHE wines’s story weaves love, authentic French wine making tradition and an adventurous move to the Okanagan. Dylan Roche (Burgundy, Chablis, New Zealand, Margaux) an avid cyclist wished to pursue becoming a cycle mechanic and tour guide in the idyllic countryside of Burgundy in 2000. Serendipitously, the alluring life of winemaking converted him to officially train in Beaune (2003). Pénélope Furt-Roche (6th generation Bordeaux winemaker of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Spain, New Zealand, Australia,Tasmania) grew up at the esteemed family estate in Bordeaux and at a young age learned the exquisite French tradition of winemaking with her Father Didier. The two merged paths in New Zealand whilst discovering Hawkes Bay during harvest and fell in love (original Hallmark story). They chased each back to France, started a life and both continued their wine journey in Bordeaux. In 2010, the family decided to sell the estate and with a leap of faith the vignerons couple wanted to pursue a dream of their own… Roche Wines! New transplanted they found their desired location in 2011 and commenced various projects to assist them to their final goal in 2017. Being organic, with hands-on farming, focused on sustainable practices and paired with unique Okanagan terroir Roche Wines has quickly excelled. Within their 5 years, Dylan and Pénélope have received BC Lieutenant Governor Awards, Highlighted in Decanter Magazine, high accolades from Jancis Robinson MW/London and wines are currently in most of BC’s TOP restaurants. Equally impressive is family friend and Award Winning Veteran winemaker Dwight Sick (Stag’s Hollow, Moraine Estate Winery, Chain Reaction, Seven Stones) whom has a stunning collaboration with Roche- Amulet Series. His glimpse of the Rhône features highly acclaimed and sought after Viognier/Marsanne, Grenache/Syrah blends. Together, this quaint and unsuspecting winery is a truly authentic slice of the BEST of France (Burgundy, Bordeaux, Alsace, Rhone) in our beloved wine country! 🏆❤️🍷🥂🍇🇫🇷“
“Phenomenal winery! The wine is exceptionally delicious, the service is outstanding, and the view looks like something straight out of a postcard. Such a beautiful spot and an all-around wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend it enough.“

“Great ciders Good service Great view“
“Fabulous wines, fabulous tasting room.“
“Every single wine is amazing ! Their service is amazing. 10000/10 would recommend. Every year they produce better wine. Thank you Black Widow Winery“
“Deep Roots was one of our favorite stops. It is getting harder to find small family owned wineries that still feel personal and genuine and this place absolutely does. The patio has an incredible view and the whole winery feels like you are stepping into someone’s home rather than a commercial tasting room. highly recommend!“
“As I’m not a wine lover, this was the best winery I visited in the area. Cozy and quiet area, nice views as well. Our host was lovely and helpful. Wines were slightly pricy compared to some other wineries, but not much and I was very happy to pay a bit extra for absolutely delicious wine.“
“This is one of the BEAT wineries in the Bench!“
“Such friendly, warm welcome when arriving at the Elephant Island Winery. We were also greeted by their residents cat, Ginger. The wines were fabulous and the shaded outdoor seating area only enhanced the whole experience. Left with a cherry wine which we can't wait to indulge on our next celebration !“
“Absolutely loved every second we spent there. In the world of highly commercialized wineries they are so humble in the way they do business. No $15-$20 tasting fee, no tipping nonsense. Just a small winery that wants people to enjoy wine.
Thank you so much for being an amazing winery!“
“I can't pick just one wine—they were all fantastic! The variety is excellent, offering something for every palate, and the quality is spectacular. Every pour was a pleasure to taste. The service was wonderful, and Lisa's knowledge and passion for wine made the entire tasting experience truly memorable. I would definitely recommend this winery to anyone looking for an exceptional wine tasting, and I'll absolutely be coming back!“
“Incredible wines and incredibly helpful, knowledgeable staff. Kim taught us sooooo much about the winemaking process and gave us great insight into what happens behind the scenes. Making great wine is no cakewalk!
When you sip Tightrope wines, you really appreciate the effort, expertise, and education that goes into every bottle. A must visit when you are on the Naramata bench.“
“What an unforgettable experience! We reserved a table for a tasting, and our host Larry was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived. And the wine… wow! Every bottle we tried was exceptional. Let’s just say, it was a challenge finding enough room in the truck for all the wine we brought home!“
“One of the best! Niether the wine nor the hospitality ever disappoint.
Consistently delicious and always friendly, fun, relaxed and educational, Van Westen is one of our favourite stops on the Naramata Bench. This year's Brewt is my drink of the summer!“
“Great view, intimate setting. I was told they were one of the original 7 wineries. I enjoyed the Brut and Cabernet France. 3 tastings for $8.50. Fee was not waived with bottle for those that are curious. Cool they had a record player for music“
“Both white and red wines are great.“
“We went for wines' sampling and what treat it was! We tasted six wines, each unique but three of them truly remarkable. Our favorite was 2019 Pinot Noir, slightly ahead of 2022 Cabernet Franc, with surprisingly well composed bouquet. We liked cozy atmosphere and well presented introduction to wines. Prices are on 'friendly' side.“
“Three Sisters Winery is a fantastic place! We had a wonderful time sampling their great wines, and the overall experience was excellent. We ended up purchasing a bottle to enjoy right there on the lovely dog-friendly patio, pairing it with some delicious hot sandwiches that were made fresh on-site.
We loved the wines so much that we couldn't leave empty-handed and came home with a few bottles. The staff is welcoming, the food and wine are top-notch, and the pet-friendly patio makes it a perfect stop. I would highly recommend adding this to your winery list!“
“Don’t be confused but the name and photos being more focused on the guest house. This is an INCREDIBLE winery, one of our favourites in the area and we always make a point to stop here. The wines are great if you enjoy Italian reds and dessert wine.
It feels like you are having a wine tasting in a friends beautiful backyard. Games set up for kids and an incredible sandwhich truck which is a must try.“
“My friend and I came here for a wine tasting on our bike trip and had a lovely time! The lady who served us was super friendly and a joy to interact with. Afterwards, we had a bit of time to kill before dinner and were on our bikes so she just let us lay in the grass for like an hour and cool down lol. Overall extremely friendly and delicious wines! We especially liked the Gewurtztraminer and the Riesling.“
“My friend and I had a wonderful lunch on the patio Lake Breeze last week. What a gorgeous setting! The food was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Our waitress was so kind and friendly and the restaurant was super accommodating with my food allergies (dairy, gluten and soy), which was tremendously appreciated. Couldn't have asked for more!“
“The people who work there are fabulous and we always have a great laugh about the latest social issues! Last week we chatted about many topics! Thanks team! Fun as usual!“
“A Perfect Afternoon & The Best Winery Host!
We had the absolute pleasure of stopping here for lunch today, and it was easily the highlight of our week. If you are looking for a slow, peaceful, and truly exceptional winery experience, this is it.
The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully prepared, and paired perfectly with their amazing wines. Every sip was a knockout. What truly elevates this small winery, though, is the service. The staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and passionate about what they do, making you feel like family the moment you walk in.
And of course, we have to mention the real star of the show: George, the winery dog! He is the sweetest, most charming co-owner you could ever ask for and adds the perfect touch of warmth to a beautiful, luxury setting.“
“Wonderful wedding venue! Perfect day!“
“Greetings my was a bit weird. Told we’d have to wait for 15 minutes before being seated. That’s after she tapped on her electronic pad for a few minutes. Not told to take seat while we clear a table etc. a different person did and seated us writhing a couple of minutes. First impressions last.“
“Cathy was exceptional and gave great knowledge of the wines ! We have tried a few places and we are from Ontario but this place was by far my favourite wines !“
“We went to Laughingstock for a wine tasting today. Our server, Vera, was lovely but so busy we didn't have a great experience. Apparently reservations are recommended. We walked in and were seated. Vera brought us our samples and then had to run to another table. We waited a long time for our next sample of mediocre wine. I'd rather they told us they were too busy to properly accommodate us. We could have spent out time at another winery that could give us their time and attention.“
“We visited Serendipity Winery on Saturday, what a beautiful experience. The wine is lovely, the customer service is above par! We visited a number of wineries over the weekend, the experience was definitely number one out of all of them.“
“Beautiful view, great food & wines.“
“The staff are simply fantastic. I am not necessarily super knowledgeable about wines, but I do know what I like. Love all of their whites, and in particular the Viognier, I’ve only just recently tried the Aster, the sparkling is delish. If you’re heading to the tasting room, ask for Brian! He’s the best.“
“Bench 1775 was another fantastic stop on our Okanagan wine tour! From the moment we arrived, we could see why so many people recommend it.
One thing we really appreciated was how family-friendly it is. They have a dedicated play area for kids, which kept our son entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our tasting. It's not always easy to find wineries that cater to both adults and families, and Bench 1775 does a wonderful job of creating an experience everyone can enjoy.
The wine tasting itself was excellent, with a great selection of wines that showcased the winery's quality and character. But what truly stole the show was the incredible setting. The panoramic views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding vineyards are absolutely breathtaking, and the overall ambiance is peaceful, elegant, and the perfect place to slow down and take it all in.
Whether you're visiting as a couple, with friends, or as a family, Bench 1775 offers something for everyone. Between the beautiful scenery, welcoming atmosphere, delicious wines, and thoughtful family-friendly touches, it's definitely a winery we'd recommend adding to your Okanagan itinerary!“
“Loved it, we spent a weekend wine tasting the Naramata bench, this was one of the first places we stopped on the friday night. One of the few places open past 5 pm - tastings had finished so were accommodated on the patio - purchased a couple of glasses of wine and the meat and cheese board - simply delicious. so much so that we returned on Sunday for tasting flights and more snacks. The staff were wonderful on both occasions, the patio is fantastic, spacious and great views, Wines were awesome, if your looking for the usual winery experience - this is not it ! a great place for a get together, date, or just to chill and enjoy the excellent music, view and wines. Yes the tastings are a little more costly than some places but well worth it. we will go back many times. if you like a relaxed, modern contemporary winery that has great wines and snacks you would be crazy not to visit here.“
“We’re so happy that we stopped here today!!! Such good wines and cheese and @Landon Ketterer was such a delight to interact with too: knowledgeable, friendly, personable!!! To anyone passing by, please do yourself a favour and stop at the Upper bench, you won’t regret it!!!“

“Originally the stunning property was an apricot orchard owned by the pioneering Riddle family in the early 1900’s. Joining that spirit were Vera and Bohumir Klokocka arriving from Czechoslovakia to purchase in 1979 and plant their dream vines in 1984. Next, creation of the beautifully rustic European grist mill design timber frame we see today all laden with white pine and Douglas fir beams truly transports you to the historic countryside still preserved. Carry on to present, Award winning Veteran winemaker Kathy Malone (Calona Vineyards, Mission Hill, ) dazzles you with her terroir driven, minimal intervention portfolio. Simple and elegant! “We have had this beautiful vineyard send us a Rose and Chardonay this summer to Ontario..we were so worried about the fire distruction in Sunderland BC, and wanted to support a Canadian vineyard..we have 6 bottles of each and both are equally beautiful wines..we will definately be ordering more wines through the year.“
