“Must see boutique winery in Penticton. Superb wine selection with some big Bordeau style reds and lovely Pinot Gris, you won't be dissapointed. We have been Black Book members for a few years and have always been very well advised by Eliana.“
“Seattleites! Planning a trip to BC's Okanagan Valley? Do yourselves a favor and enjoy a tasting at this chic and delicious sparkling-style cider mill in the Naramata Bench area. Its French charm, friendly staff (Kim took wonderful care of us) and lovely gardens will leave you feeling relaxed and happy. :)“
“This place was a really great experience. You are in the area where the wine is made for your tasting. It is different from the others and I ended up buying three types of wine from their Spring/Summer flight.Leslie made the experience unique and the story of the winery is pretty neat. The wine is fantastic, the group I am in loved it too. Picture of the wines attached.“
“One of the original 5 wineries on the Naramata Bench Poplar Grove Winery was founded in 1993. In 2007 Tony and Barb Holler purchased it and turned it into a whole family affair! Their sons Chris, Andrew, Matt and Eric manage the 140 acres cleverly placed in some of the finest Okanagan terroirs and award winning winemaker Stefan Arnason gracefully focuses on Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and a signature Bordeaux blend The Legacy. To pair, Chef Stacy Johnston (SAIT, 641 Grill, Wascana Country Club and Naramata Inn) along with Minette Lotz (The Art Institute, Wascana Country Club, Naramata Inn) deliver a seasonal, locally sourced fine dining experience set in an intimate yet cosmopolitan showroom overlooking Lake Okanagan. It’s completely Naramata Inn redux with slight unbridled energy- gorgeous and remaining a TOP 5 valley dining experience! Also, exclusive luncheon on the Naramata Bench wine tour with Vivid Tours. “MUST VISIT!” -elegant rendezvous to impress friends, a wonderfully romantic escape in wine country or perfect place for foodies.Highlight: absolutely stunning dining experience paired with chilled Rosé, informative and passionate tasting with Laura, and impeccable service from Kaleena. ???❤️??“
“On our trip to the Okanagan this year we researched several wineries and were quite impressed with the Moraine Estate Winery..family owned , highly rated and located near the city of Penticton where we were staying…it was a natural place to start our wine tasting experience and we were overjoyed by the quality of the wines, the super friendly staff and the atmosphere while enjoying the views of Okanagan lake..12 bottles of wine was our choice to bring this special winery back home..Reserve Riesling, Meritage, Cliffhanger White PinotNoir and Gewurztraminer…our friends will certainly enjoy our choices..“
“We had our daughter’s wedding here on October 14th. It was absolutely amazing. Wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Lisa and her team handled everything. Tge staff was fantastic. Food was incredible. Everyone has been raving about it ever since. Thank you for a completely stress free day.“
“Have been to Time/Orolo numerous times in the last month and although the food is good as is the vibe and decor, our server Rose makes the experience amazing! Knowledge on wine pairings with the right food as well as a great sense of humour and such a high level of professionalism! Will definitely go back and have Rose as our server!“
“Absolutely fabulous winery ! Modern, fresh and simplistic. Jasmine will take care of all your wine needs with such a friendly smile and tons of knowledge. Wide array of wines from whites to bubbles to reds to cane cut Riesling. Yum ! And affordable !“
“Much more laidback and relaxed than the other wineries we visited in the area, the tastings occur just outside the main building on the veranda. Quite a few wines from D'Angelo surprised and differentiated themselves from the wineries around this area. D'Angelo had the only Tempranillo we tasted in the area plus the dessert and late harvest wines really hit the mark. The group delved deep into the Viognier and the Dolce Vita Rosso sipped amazingly. If you enjoy some variety from the dominant grapes of the region this is definitely one of the spots to visit.“
“Google needs a 10⭐ button! We highly recommend the tasting room and the TR Manager Crystal. She was passionate, knowledgeable, engaging and and eager to help. The pure essence of hospitality. Fantastic sparkling and still wines! Whoever owns this place don't let anybody steal your staff. Thank you we'll be back! ?“
“Originally the stunning property was a n apricot orchard owned by the pioneering Riddle family in the early 1900’s. Joining that spirit were Vera and Bohumir Klokocka arriving from Czechoslovakia to purchase in 1979 and plant their dream vines in 1984. Next, creation of the beautifully rustic European grist mill design timber frame we see today all laden with white pine and Douglas fir beams truly transports you to the historic countryside still preserved.Carry on to present, Award winning Veteran winemaker Kathy Malone (Calona Vineyards, Mission Hill, ) dazzles you with her terroir driven, minimal intervention portfolio. Simple and elegant! With Chef Evan Robertson (Hardware Grill, Aerie Resort, Pig & Duke) leaving his mark on the Naramata Bench with locally sourced, terroir to table, seasonal menu- it’s a “Must Visit”!Awesome service, rustic historic building with lakeside views and always beautiful menu??????? ?Hannah was friendly and very attentive!“
“We recently went to this winery for the first time and had a great experience. Carson was very informative and entertaining. We enjoyed the wines- brought home a few- and would definitely go back! We would recommend trying this winery and meeting the lovely owners.“
“Probably 4.5, but I cannot enter that. This was a return visit. The atmosphere was more relaxed a few years ago. They have a wide selection of wines, perhaps too many. None are WOW, but many were quite drinkable.Malachi was our host, and to be honest the most memorable aspect of the entire visit. The site and the view are excellent.Perhaps offering premium tasting in a quieter more private setting is something to consider.Definitely worth a visit.“
“Poplar Grove was to die for!The view, the wine, the staff! Andrea your my girl!! She was funny, personable. Just overall superb. Thanks for making the experience for us!!!This is my happy place. Clean and well maintained. We went at the end of the day and basically had it to ourselves.I would love tonwork their myself!!“
“Outstanding meal at Sonetto at Play Estate Winery! We shared the Arancini as an appetizer, and I had the Pasta Alla Carbonara (with prawns added), and my wife had the Pan Seared Salmon. Everything was excellent. The staff did an amazing job of describing the menu and the ambiance and view is the most beautiful in the city. Can’t wait to go back!“
“This winery has a decidedly different vibe, in a very good way! Definitely a funky experience starting with the decorated van in the driveway. The decor inside and out make for an eclectic mix of old world charm and Diva aesthetic. The staff welcomed us in with smiles!“
“The first stop on a day of wine tasting in Naramata. Ordered the wine and cheese tasting, it was excellent. Terry our wine expert was just that, an expert. She provided us a great deal of knowledge on the wines, the cheeses, the estate, etc. We were so impressed we joined the wine and curd club. We did 4 wineries on this day and Upper Bench was our favourite.“
“I have visited La Frenz many times, and have always bought my wine in person or ordered online in the past. This week when their holiday packs were released, I decided to take advantage and snag a few of the sold out wines I had really enjoyed. I had some questions before ordering so I called in and spoke with their manager Cathy. She was extremely responsive and made sure I got the holiday pack best suited to my individual tastes. She was a pleasure to deal with. I can’t wait to visit the winery again next summer - they continue to impress not only with their wines but also with the quality of service they provide. Excited for my early Christmas present that shipped out this morning! Thanks again Cathy!“
“Our family visited the region this past October and the DaSilva Winery was by far the best vineyard on our travels. The presentation and the family story were both most enjoyable. I share the same last name, and Portuguese heritage, but from a wine tasting standpoint they exceeded all the others we visited.“
