“ROCHE wines’s story weaves love, authentic French wine making tradition and an adventurous move to the Okanagan. Dylan Roche (Burgundy, Chablis, New Zealand, Margaux) an avid cyclist wished to pursue becoming a cycle mechanic and tour guide in the idyllic countryside of Burgundy in 2000. Serendipitously, the alluring life of winemaking converted him to officially train in Beaune (2003). Pénélope Furt-Roche (6th generation Bordeaux winemaker of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Spain, New Zealand, Australia,Tasmania) grew up at the esteemed family estate in Bordeaux and at a young age learned the exquisite French tradition of winemaking with her Father Didier. The two merged paths in New Zealand whilst discovering Hawkes Bay during harvest and fell in love (original Hallmark story). They chased each back to France, started a life and both continued their wine journey in Bordeaux. In 2010, the family decided to sell the estate and with a leap of faith the vignerons couple wanted to pursue a dream of their own… Roche Wines! New transplanted they found their desired location in 2011 and commenced various projects to assist them to their final goal in 2017. Being organic, with hands-on farming, focused on sustainable practices and paired with unique Okanagan terroir Roche Wines has quickly excelled. Within their 5 years, Dylan and Pénélope have received BC Lieutenant Governor Awards, Highlighted in Decanter Magazine, high accolades from Jancis Robinson MW/London and wines are currently in most of BC’s TOP restaurants. Equally impressive is family friend and Award Winning Veteran winemaker Dwight Sick (Stag’s Hollow, Moraine Estate Winery, Chain Reaction, Seven Stones) whom has a stunning collaboration with Roche- Amulet Series. His glimpse of the Rhône features highly acclaimed and sought after Viognier/Marsanne, Grenache/Syrah blends. “We went for wines' sampling and what treat it was! We tasted six wines, each unique but three of them truly remarkable. Our favorite was 2019 Pinot Noir, slightly ahead of 2022 Cabernet Franc, with surprisingly well composed bouquet. We liked cozy atmosphere and well presented introduction to wines. Prices are on 'friendly' side.“
“Three Sisters Winery is a fantastic place! We had a wonderful time sampling their great wines, and the overall experience was excellent. We ended up purchasing a bottle to enjoy right there on the lovely dog-friendly patio, pairing it with some delicious hot sandwiches that were made fresh on-site.
We loved the wines so much that we couldn't leave empty-handed and came home with a few bottles. The staff is welcoming, the food and wine are top-notch, and the pet-friendly patio makes it a perfect stop. I would highly recommend adding this to your winery list!“
“Don’t be confused but the name and photos being more focused on the guest house. This is an INCREDIBLE winery, one of our favourites in the area and we always make a point to stop here. The wines are great if you enjoy Italian reds and dessert wine.
It feels like you are having a wine tasting in a friends beautiful backyard. Games set up for kids and an incredible sandwhich truck which is a must try.“
“Absolute smashing time at Poplar Grove Cheese and Lock & Worth Winery! Rustic, wine country charm, with beautiful artisanal cheeses and natural style wines… and a perfect picnic area to enjoy the day! 😎🧀🥖🍷🥂 Met Jen & Jen whom make handmade artisanal cheese and source to some of the best restaurants in BC. Had a great cheese and wine pairing compliments of the wonderful host Ginger. Learned about Matthew SherLOCK and Ross HackWORTH from Lock & Worth. Organic, hand harvested, unfined and unfiltered… beautifully done!“

“We went to Laughingstock for a wine tasting today. Our server, Vera, was lovely but so busy we didn't have a great experience. Apparently reservations are recommended. We walked in and were seated. Vera brought us our samples and then had to run to another table. We waited a long time for our next sample of mediocre wine. I'd rather they told us they were too busy to properly accommodate us. We could have spent out time at another winery that could give us their time and attention.“

“The staff are simply fantastic. I am not necessarily super knowledgeable about wines, but I do know what I like. Love all of their whites, and in particular the Viognier, I’ve only just recently tried the Aster, the sparkling is delish. If you’re heading to the tasting room, ask for Brian! He’s the best.“
“Bench 1775 was another fantastic stop on our Okanagan wine tour! From the moment we arrived, we could see why so many people recommend it.
One thing we really appreciated was how family-friendly it is. They have a dedicated play area for kids, which kept our son entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our tasting. It's not always easy to find wineries that cater to both adults and families, and Bench 1775 does a wonderful job of creating an experience everyone can enjoy.
The wine tasting itself was excellent, with a great selection of wines that showcased the winery's quality and character. But what truly stole the show was the incredible setting. The panoramic views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding vineyards are absolutely breathtaking, and the overall ambiance is peaceful, elegant, and the perfect place to slow down and take it all in.
Whether you're visiting as a couple, with friends, or as a family, Bench 1775 offers something for everyone. Between the beautiful scenery, welcoming atmosphere, delicious wines, and thoughtful family-friendly touches, it's definitely a winery we'd recommend adding to your Okanagan itinerary!“

“Originally the stunning property was an apricot orchard owned by the pioneering Riddle family in the early 1900’s. Joining that spirit were Vera and Bohumir Klokocka arriving from Czechoslovakia to purchase in 1979 and plant their dream vines in 1984. Next, creation of the beautifully rustic European grist mill design timber frame we see today all laden with white pine and Douglas fir beams truly transports you to the historic countryside still preserved. Carry on to present, Award winning Veteran winemaker Kathy Malone (Calona Vineyards, Mission Hill, ) dazzles you with her terroir driven, minimal intervention portfolio. Simple and elegant! With Chef Evan Robertson (Hardware Grill, Aerie Resort, Pig & Duke) leaving his mark on the Naramata Bench with locally sourced, terroir to table, seasonal menu- it’s a “Must Visit”! Awesome service, rustic historic building with lakeside views and always beautiful menu🇨🇦🏆🥂🍷🥩🍗 Hannah was friendly and very attentive!“

“What a wonderful place to visit. We have been visiting when we can since 2004 and this is one of our favourite wineries. We truly love the staff each time. It makes a difference when they care and they do. We cannot recommend this winery more.“
