“Wow, what an incredible time at Red Rooster winery. Not only was the wine delicious (not too sweet, light, smooth), but the location, view, and service was top notch. Terry led us through a wine tasting that was informative and fun. Terry is just the right mix of knowledgeable, fun, thoughtful, and talkative. Good conversation but also gave us time alone to sip and discuss each wine before returning with something even more delicious. She even taught me about the wine club, which I signed up for. Can't wait to go back!“
“Simply the best! Can’t find better wine on the bench!“

“ROCHE wines’s story weaves love, authentic French wine making tradition and an adventurous move to the Okanagan. Dylan Roche (Burgundy, Chablis, New Zealand, Margaux) an avid cyclist wished to pursue becoming a cycle mechanic and tour guide in the idyllic countryside of Burgundy in 2000. Serendipitously, the alluring life of winemaking converted him to officially train in Beaune (2003). Pénélope Furt-Roche (6th generation Bordeaux winemaker of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Spain, New Zealand, Australia,Tasmania) grew up at the esteemed family estate in Bordeaux and at a young age learned the exquisite French tradition of winemaking with her Father Didier. The two merged paths in New Zealand whilst discovering Hawkes Bay during harvest and fell in love (original Hallmark story). They chased each back to France, started a life and both continued their wine journey in Bordeaux. In 2010, the family decided to sell the estate and with a leap of faith the vignerons couple wanted to pursue a dream of their own… Roche Wines! New transplanted they found their desired location in 2011 and commenced various projects to assist them to their final goal in 2017. Being organic, with hands-on farming, focused on sustainable practices and paired with unique Okanagan terroir Roche Wines has quickly excelled. Within their 5 years, Dylan and Pénélope have received BC Lieutenant Governor Awards, Highlighted in Decanter Magazine, high accolades from Jancis Robinson MW/London and wines are currently in most of BC’s TOP restaurants. Equally impressive is family friend and Award Winning Veteran winemaker Dwight Sick (Stag’s Hollow, Moraine Estate Winery, Chain Reaction, Seven Stones) whom has a stunning collaboration with Roche- Amulet Series. His glimpse of the Rhône features highly acclaimed and sought after Viognier/Marsanne, Grenache/Syrah blends. Together, this quaint and unsuspecting winery is a truly authentic slice of the BEST of France (Burgundy, Bordeaux, Alsace, Rhone) in our beloved wine country! 🏆❤️🍷🥂🍇🇫🇷“

“Fabulous wines, fabulous tasting room.“
“Random Monday off…..
Went to Moraine, met Jerry, wow!
He talked to us about wine, finally had my husband enjoy a white wine! The g-14 is amazing!!!
Jerry took us to the patio, we purchased a charturie board
Paired nicely with the wine
Husband had an aperol spritzer with the frozen Berry popsicle in it!
Do not miss this place!
Thank you Jerry and Moraine“
“Every single wine is amazing ! Their service is amazing. 10000/10 would recommend. Every year they produce better wine. Thank you Black Widow Winery“
“Stopped in for a tasting this past week and were quite impressed. Nicole did a great job of describing the flight of wines we were able to taste. We also enjoined meeting and chatting with a few of the owners who happened to be in the tasting room. Only suggestion is that it would be nice to be able to purchase a few simple nibbles to enjoy while tasting the wines. We did drive away with a selection of several bottles to enjoy with friends following our vacation.“
“I can't pick just one wine—they were all fantastic! The variety is excellent, offering something for every palate, and the quality is spectacular. Every pour was a pleasure to taste. The service was wonderful, and Lisa's knowledge and passion for wine made the entire tasting experience truly memorable. I would definitely recommend this winery to anyone looking for an exceptional wine tasting, and I'll absolutely be coming back!“
“Great location for live music! Very welcoming and laid back atmosphere“
“What an unforgettable experience! We reserved a table for a tasting, and our host Larry was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived. And the wine… wow! Every bottle we tried was exceptional. Let’s just say, it was a challenge finding enough room in the truck for all the wine we brought home!“
“We went for wines' sampling and what treat it was! We tasted six wines, each unique but three of them truly remarkable. Our favorite was 2019 Pinot Noir, slightly ahead of 2022 Cabernet Franc, with surprisingly well composed bouquet. We liked cozy atmosphere and well presented introduction to wines. Prices are on 'friendly' side.“
“Knowing little about wine, only I like a good one, Kathleen was sure to listen. She knew the product, gave us a great history of the vineyard, and made two amateurs feel right at home. Such an incredible place, clean, and stunning. We will definitely be back!!“
“We visited this winery 20 years ago when it just opened. We love the Boho, relaxed vibe back, then, and it endures still just like the VW van out front. Some very yummy wines to try in a relaxed manner. No tasting fee, which is nice. And if you decide not to buy a bottle, they encourage you to give a donation to the naramata school.
There are some nice outdoor tasting places and a little picnic area or you could bring some food and enjoy alongside their great wine.“
“Beautiful view. Very nice wine. The food was excellent and very fairly priced for the quality and portion sizes. We will definitely be back!“
“Don’t be confused but the name and photos being more focused on the guest house. This is an INCREDIBLE winery, one of our favourites in the area and we always make a point to stop here. The wines are great if you enjoy Italian reds and dessert wine.
It feels like you are having a wine tasting in a friends beautiful backyard. Games set up for kids and an incredible sandwhich truck which is a must try.“
“We went to Laughingstock for a wine tasting today. Our server, Vera, was lovely but so busy we didn't have a great experience. Apparently reservations are recommended. We walked in and were seated. Vera brought us our samples and then had to run to another table. We waited a long time for our next sample of mediocre wine. I'd rather they told us they were too busy to properly accommodate us. We could have spent out time at another winery that could give us their time and attention.“
“Beautiful view, great food & wines.“
“Cathy was exceptional and gave great knowledge of the wines ! We have tried a few places and we are from Ontario but this place was by far my favourite wines !“
“This place is truly authentic to BC! The patio view is incredible! My mum came to visit from winnipeg and every single staff member made us feel so special! Rachel took care of us and she is amazing, so knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing! She helped with our wine tasting and gave us a personalized experience while explaining on each wine tasted! We came at 2pm on a Thursday and it was beautiful, quiet and serene. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a nice tasting and great view!“
“Loved it, we spent a weekend wine tasting the Naramata bench, this was one of the first places we stopped on the friday night. One of the few places open past 5 pm - tastings had finished so were accommodated on the patio - purchased a couple of glasses of wine and the meat and cheese board - simply delicious. so much so that we returned on Sunday for tasting flights and more snacks. The staff were wonderful on both occasions, the patio is fantastic, spacious and great views, Wines were awesome, if your looking for the usual winery experience - this is not it ! a great place for a get together, date, or just to chill and enjoy the excellent music, view and wines. Yes the tastings are a little more costly than some places but well worth it. we will go back many times. if you like a relaxed, modern contemporary winery that has great wines and snacks you would be crazy not to visit here.“
“We’re so happy that we stopped here today!!! Such good wines and cheese and @Landon Ketterer was such a delight to interact with too: knowledgeable, friendly, personable!!! To anyone passing by, please do yourself a favour and stop at the Upper bench, you won’t regret it!!!“
“Generous pours, exciting variety. Not all were winners but there are so many to try you will find something. The Viognier and Tawny were exceptional. Pricing for tasting and bottles almost unbelievable for the quality. Not a huge fan of the reds but just personal preference. Service was perfect. We will be back.“

“Originally the stunning property was an apricot orchard owned by the pioneering Riddle family in the early 1900’s. Joining that spirit were Vera and Bohumir Klokocka arriving from Czechoslovakia to purchase in 1979 and plant their dream vines in 1984. Next, creation of the beautifully rustic European grist mill design timber frame we see today all laden with white pine and Douglas fir beams truly transports you to the historic countryside still preserved. Carry on to present, Award winning Veteran winemaker Kathy Malone (Calona Vineyards, Mission Hill, ) dazzles you with her terroir driven, minimal intervention portfolio. Simple and elegant! With Chef Evan Robertson (Hardware Grill, Aerie Resort, Pig & Duke) leaving his mark on the Naramata Bench with locally sourced, terroir to table, seasonal menu- it’s a “Must Visit”! “I stopped by on my way home from a bike ride the other day to pick up a bottle of sparkling wine. They have a great reputation for these, know that the cheaper ones are around $40.
The team is fantastic. Friendly and I loved their recommendations“
