“We loved visiting this winery. The patio had nice views of the lake. The staff was super nice, friendly and knowledgeable!
The wine is delicious, could be a little colder, but we weren't complaining!
I loved the big wooden tables on the patio!
The chairs on the deck may be a tad uncomfortable for some, and could use some cushions, but was OK for us.
We wanted to go back again with more family coming into town this week, but it looked like the dates are limited to Thursday- Monday
Delicious wine, we will be back next year“
“Great tasting experience and we appreciated the donation rather than a charge. Good community spirit. We picked 2 white wines, the Viognier and the Reisling to take back to the Shiraz Villa, sat out on our patio, beautiful evening, and enjoyed.“
“We went for a wine tasting today, Scotia was our wine specialist! We tasted some amazing wines, but the best was the Bubbles! Bought some good stuff to take home, if you have time, please visit Scotia at the winery!“
“Absolutely live to visit each year. They are hands down my favourite estate winery in all of British Columbia. Their warm hospitality always melts my heart and their wines are beyond incredible, they are heaven sent. I am in love with Suvarna wine, it is so complex and earthy, notes of delicious plum, dark berries and oak come through for me in this wine. Honestly, every wine is delicious and to be savored over great memories with close loved ones, or simply by yourself in celebrating life.“
“Great afternoon spent at this lovey winery! They hosted a group of 12 of us with a wine and cheese pairing & accommodated dietary restriction. Knowledgeable, friendly, and delicious!
Bocce ball was a great idea to keep us entertained as opposed to just sitting drinking wine, ( not that that’s a bad thing ;) )“
“The tasting experience was exceptional. Each wine we sampled was carefully selected. The variety and quality of the wines were impressive, showcasing the winery's dedication to their craft.
Our guide, Joaney, made the visit truly special. Her extensive knowledge of the wines and the winemaking process was evident, and she shared it with enthusiasm and passion. Joaney's engaging storytelling and insightful explanations enhanced our appreciation for each wine we tasted.“
“The grounds are beautiful and the wines are delicious. The charcuterie board might be the best you ever have. Not kidding. Call in advance to order it -- it's laborious to put together! And worth the call. :)“
“My tastebuds enjoyed the “Colourful Notes” in these wines. Great service and little boutique store with useful items and local art. A hidden gem discovered.“
“Amazing wine, amazing people. Some of the best BC wine you can find We bought this for our anniversary (we were married in 2015) and I have no words!!!“
“While we lived near Gehringer, our Vintage Car Club , my Golfing Buddies& Touristy Friends frequented this Winery. When I moved to Saskatoon the Winery shipped cases of Wine to me, especially enjoyed by my Prairie CuZZins.Gewurtz-Schönberg & Ehrenfelser continue to be my favorites.“
“We had an incredible wine tasting experience at Gold Hill! Val was knowledgeable and passionate about wine-making and the wines really reflected that! A “must” on your Okanagan wine tour!“
“We had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience at Kismet on Saturday???. Got picked up by Manpreet at our campsite and she safely drove us to Kismet where we did a wine sampling. We got there a little bit late but Jim stayed open extra long for us and let us sample their YUMMY wines?????. After we told him we were going for dinner there he waved all of our tasting fees???. Super nice man?. Went to dinner and ate fantastic selections of foods and service was OUTSTANDING! We met the eldest daughter who was so gifted at explaining the menu and her brother was our waiter and very veryfriendly ad quick. Her younger sister ended up being the wine maker but was also the pretty young lady who drove us to the facility. All and all it was a 10 STAR EVENT. ???“
“Amazing everything. View, wine, people“
“Checkmate has been a favourite winery of mine for quite some time. I finally visited from Ontario and Gail made the tasting amazing! My wife and I did a curated tasting with food pairings from Chef Joshua… fantastic and I would recommend it.“
“I ventured down to Oliver to come check out Culmina Wines. Beautiful tasting paired with a beautiful view. Delicious wines and a rosé magnum? Yes please! If you’re in the Oliver area check out their wines ?$20 for the tasting and waived if you purchase $50+ of wine, easily done! Definitely will be back for more of these great wines, loved loved loved the Blanc de Franc, a white Cabernet Franc and great price points to boot. Thanks for the great experience. #cheers“
“To say a tasting at this location is perhaps one of the best approachable experiences in the valley would be an understatement.
From the captivating red and white wines that leave a lasting impression to bread you will literally fight other customers for, Platinum Bench is a must-visit gem along Black Sage Road.
Our gracious host for the hour exuded warmth and expertise, enhancing every moment of our visit. The tastings, featuring a curated rotating selection of four wines each day, are consistently elevated by the artisan bread pairings that initially captured our hearts.
As a red wine enthusiast and with my partner favouring whites, we were both enamoured by the exceptional red pours—the Syrah and Merlot, recommended by a neighbouring winery—a testament to their quality and reputation.
Back to the bread - getting there ideally before noon is a strategic move if you aim to secure these coveted loaves, as enthusiasts flock to the bakery with a fervour akin to vultures. Each loaf carries a rich history, originating from a sourdough starter nurtured into existence 19 years ago.
Must stop all the time!“
“If you like French-style wine this is the place for you. It’s reservation only and they said they may not do wine tastings next year due to limited stock. Wine tastings are $10 nonrefundable. They were hit hard by the weather and so the yield is very low, this means go before the year ends as this may be the last year they do wine tastings, they’ll be reserving their bottles for wine club members only. Whites start at about $31 and reds start at about $37.“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Road for a wine tasting and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, setting the tone for a delightful visit.
The tasting experience was worth every penny. The selection of wines fantastically showcased the best of what the region has to offer. Each pour was thoughtfully explained in a way that was very easy to understand for guests that were unfamiliar with the Southern Okanagan terroir. I should add that the views at Road 13 Vineyard are also breathtaking, which naturally enhanced our overall experience. The tasting room offers a stunning panorama of vineyards that go for several kms, I seriously could have sat there all day if it was up to me!
Overall, Road 13 Vineyard is a must visit on your trip to the Okanagan. The combination of exceptional wine, outstanding service, and a picturesque setting made for an experience that was truly worth the price. I will be back!“
“Cassini Cellars is a must stop on your Okanagan wine tour. The choice was five different wines. There is a seperate room walked in glass just for library wines as well as some of the largest bottles I have seen. The hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly and we didn't feel rushed and even stayed open longer for our group. The wine is very good and ours ranged from $24-$50, don't pass by this winery it's a must stop.“
“We actually had a blast here! Was a bit of a tight ship at first, but once everybody was loosened up, we really enjoyed ourselves.
The views outside are fantastic, it is peaceful, and the seating is cozy. There are misters on the patio, but they didn't seem to he working properly. Would have been nice to have them, but we were OK without them.
We had lots of fun with the staff, especially Corinne? (Spelling?)
We even got to witness a surprise engagement ?! Very cool
Oh...and the wine, let's not forget about that! The wine was Great of course !! There are some great ones here!
We will be back again next year!! Until then!“
“I recently visited BlackHills Estate Winery and had such an amazing experience! Brett was welcoming, charismatic and knowledgeable. He set us up at a table with a great view and poured us some fantastic wines. At the recommendation of the fabulous manager, Jesse, he was able to open a bottle of bubbles for us to try. Our line-up of wines were great and sparked a lot of conversation. Brett led us through the tasting in an easy, relaxed and professional manner, answering all our questions and informing us of all the latest developments in the Okanagan. He also touched on some of the international wine industry processes which are being used in the Okanagan. My favourite wines from this tasting were the sparkling, the Addendum and the Nota Bene. Always a great pleasure to get out to BlackHills Winery.“
