A great place to stop by for a quick breakfast meal. Portions were hearty and large. Prices were a bit high compared to other provinces but reasonable for BC and portion size. Service was top tier as well!
This has become our Thursday go to restaurant. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is not gormet but it is delicious and obviously fresh. My favorites are Ricky's house salad with a generous portion of grilled shrimp, the basil soup, ginger bowl from the lunch menu. The $14.95 lunch special is also a go to, with 1/4 pound hamburger and a side, usually fries. The Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich and waffles are also great. The food is always consistent...
Unfortunately, the French dip special was too tough to chew. My niece and I shared as they are large meals. We are seniors. We told our server, and she explained it was a different cut of beef than the beef dip that's on the menu. She replaced our order promptly. It was good. Not busy at all from 330 to 430. There are many fast foods around there but I like comfort food and something more like home made. My mom also used to love Ricky's restaurants when she was still...
