“What a wonderful place to stay on the banks of the Bulkley River!”

“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Telkwa and Smithers. I probably spend far too much money then I should here, but I absolutely love it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and don't even get me started on the coffee and the food. I don't know if I've had anything that I didn't like from here. I've tried pretty much everything from the pies, meat pies, the freshly made sourdough bread that is just delicious, and the burgers on Fridays. You also have things like the cookies, the brownies and so much more. On top of all of that there's even a lot that I have yet to try, the ice cream being one of them. She even went on vacation for a couple of weeks and that was probably the longest couple of weeks without a good coffee. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, the breakfast wraps are absolutely delicious. You got to try them. Try anything try everything try it all, I'm sure you'll love it.”

“Hello, we went to Two Sisters this morning for breakfast and asked if they could make us a salad and sandwich for the road. No problem! Breakfast was terrific, the latte was glorious, the sandwich was enjoyed on Highway 37 and the salad was the main event at dinner in Stewart BC. A great place that is not to be missed in Smithers. Thanks so much for a great day.”

“If you're from Smithers, BC or visiting from out of town, be sure to check out Blue Water Sushi. Date night, family dinner, or just craving takeout, this place has got it all. They serve up some seriously fresh Japanese food in a super chill environment. One thing I love about Blue Water Sushi is how they nail the quality. Every bite is a flavor bomb, and is just right. The vibe is laid-back, the service is friendly and quick. And if you have left any room try a dessert - they've got some unique options that are worth a try.”

“Why I do not recommend Aspen Riverhouse Restaurants We stopped in for dinner last night with our son and his family. Definitely a cozy atmosphere and friendly serving staff. Where the ball got dropped was definitely on the food. The burgers and sandwiches had no complaints but the fries we extremely salty. We also ordered the 50/50 chicken and ribs with mashed potatoes and the crispy chicken thighs with sauce and mashed potatoes. The 50/50 rib meat was semi dry and the chicken was hardly edible because it was overly salty and dry. And the crispy chicken thighs were not any better. We will not choose to dine at the Riverhouse Restaurant in the future.”

“2025-06-23 Update - everything from my earlier review is still accurate. Good news is this one still offers free refills!! The staff were friendly and polite. Easy location for travelers to pull off the highway and take a quick break from the road. Seating area is clean, bright and sunny. Bathrooms were basic but clean. Not super quick food service, but most fast-food places are not all that fast anymore.”

“I went in the new Burger King in Smithers. I was walking out of the place with hot fresh food in less than three minutes. (This includes my time walking to the counter and reading the menu) everything was made perfectly. Colour me impressed.”
