La experiencia es todo un espectáculo, lugar pequeño muy acogedor, la comida IMPRESIONANTE, el chef y propietario siempre al pendiente y metiendo las manos en la preparación, totalmente recomendable.
Barbara is an interesting restaurant. The food is amazing. The fact you can choose from three dishes (vegetarian, fish/seafood and meat) in each course is really nice since can choose which prefer, and sample more dishes when each person in party gets one.
Meal was 10/10, eggplant chips were amazing (never change those) - strip loin and corn were our favourite dishes.

Small restaurant packs a big punch and is highly recommended. We did not know what to expect from a restaurant that has only a few tables and a tasting menu, but from the moment we walked in the experience was outstanding. We were greeted and given the option to sit at the bar or take a table, we chose the bar as it provides an intimate experience and opportunity to watch the food being prepared and talk with the staff. There are 3 choices you need to make on the menu from 3 courses with 3 options on each course. We chose the fish and meat options so that we could share and experience as many dishes as possible along with some of the chefs surprises. We ordered cocktails, they were delicious but definitely adult beverages - highly recommended. The food was exquisite, it looked phenomenal and tasted amazing, how the chefs can pack in so much flavor in limited space is admirable. We were asked about the pace of the courses and offered a short break, this made the experience even better as we didn't feel rushed and it helped us enjoy the meal even more. We will definitely be going back next time we are in Vancouver, it is great for couples who like their food and not typical restaurant dishes.
The best!

Delicous! The chef's and the atmosphere was so calm and artistful, like a ballet, that it elevated the experience even more . Every dish and bite was complex and exciting. I will definitely be back.
Loved the food and the passion of the staff. Gourmand but approachable flavors and everything melded together well. Portion sizes were just right. The desert was refreshing and light with the best merengue I've had.

Arctic Char was amazing and so was the striploin in addition to the heirloom tomatoes used
I am not going to be able to put into words how freaking amazing this whole entire dining experience really was - it might exceed the 2000 character limit and certainly the attention of any diner remotely close to me when it comes to reading reviews - so let me say this.....I have never.ever.ever. had a dining experience like this - yes, I have had chef fixed menu meals - yes, I have dined at some of the best restaurants in my city of Atlanta, and even some highly ranked places internationally - Barbrara matched or exceeded most of them - this is a 4 person team who operates a 16 seat dining establishment x4 nights a week - they have given attention to every single detail - even the cool old school background music - i ate items that I would never order from a menu and LOVED them - instructions were given on suggested method of eating on some things - like take a sip of the tea, eat the crepe (I think it was a crepe) then finish the tea - and the dessert was so good in giving feedback we mentioned that we could eat more and they gave us another one to share (i assure you we were not expecting that nor trying to get it) - and what service - asking questions like "how is the pace for you - would you like to slow down or stay the course" or actually engaging in conversations about what life is like in Vancouver and what is it like from our home - i could not give a higher recommendation to this place - they do not have a phone! - how freaking awesome is that! - book a reservation - trust me - you will not regret it NOTE - most of my pictures of the food and setting contain people, so cannot upload those
What a great meal! This has to be one of the best restaurants in Vancouver!!! The food was off the chart. The flavours were unique and different. The preparation and presentation were perfect. Service is as good as the food! Can't believe such a small kitchen can prepare the meal we had. It was a pleasure watching them meticulously prepare the dishes! If you haven't been there yet, Book it right now. Support our great locally owned restaurants!

This review is from the perspective of 2/3 diners that are gluten free but very into high quality food. Overall, we wanted this meal to be better... more creative and interesting. The food is good, but just lacked some pizzazz to us personally. This is a solid dinner spot for an intimate meal, but we probably wouldn't go back (we were visiting Vancouver so take that with a grain of salt). Also in a rougher neighborhood so just a heads up if you aren't familiar.
Simply the best restaurant in Vancouver. Delicious innovative food, great staff, excellent value for money
One of my better restaurant experiences in recent memory, and this from a 'picky' New York foodie. High-wire creative cooking, with serious and highly competent proprietors. An unpretentious hole-in-the-wall place that quite deserves its Michelin star and then some. Bravo!
Incredible experience, we loved the food, the wine and the attention to detail. Would highly recommend.
Great experience from top to bottom. This was my second time here with three weeks and each time was amazing.
