I've been going to Bâtard for several years -- my favourite bakery in town and
worth the 15 minute drive. Great bread & scones, pastry to die for, and wonderful
atmosphere for a lunch. I'm more than a little suspicious by several coordinated
reviews which trash the place, particularly as one of the reviews is by an owner
of the new bakery which just moved in across the street ... hmmmm ...

The Market Loaf is our family’s go to bread. I love the excitement of weekly surprises in pastries. I am currently going through a bottle of Tomato Chutney a week!
