What a great little store! They have more than the eye sees from the outside. That's because you can tell a thought was put into stocking their shelves. Everything is so organized and clean. Great selection of what you crave from an Italian shop. The two women that were there, I suspect that they're sisters. Friendly but not overly fake. They seemed genuine and hard-working, and I was able to joke with them. I generally shop on Commercial Drive but was heading that way on Hastings....read full review
Was looking for a refreshing lunch and this place delivered!! A cozy grocery store/ with fresh food available. If you walk to the back, there’s a cute two seater in the middle of the store where u can eat your sandwich. The staff were so friendly and also did me a huge personal favor!
Always a great place to shop for Italian goods!

Bianca Maria Italian Foods is an amazing little hidden gem in the Hastings Sunrise neighborhood. This is the best, most charming Italian deli. As soon as customers enter, they are welcomed with a big 'Buon giorno' and radiant smile. The clerks are always helpful, friendly, kind, and awesome. The food is phenomenal. Customers have loved the cannelloni, meatballs, panini, lasagna, cannoli, buttered garlic bread, and Stromboli. Everything is 10/10. There is a great selection of Italian products, including many cheeses. The housemade soups are the most hearty, fresh, and delicious in the East Village area. The restaurant also offers more and more gluten free items. It is the real deal and like stepping into little Italy.
