haven't taken a course but have always been interested in culinary arts.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts for playing such a significant role in shaping my career. My time at the school not only gave me the skills and discipline needed in a professional kitchen, but also the confidence to pursue my passion with purpose.
The hands-on experience, world-class instructors, and supportive environment helped me grow into the chef I am today. Every lesson, every challenge, and every success at PICA...read full review

Based on customer reviews, Blue Hat Bakery-Café & Bistro at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is a spacious and bright venue with a wonderful view of the harbor. It serves very good espresso drinks and pastries, including the best raisin croissant cinnamon roll. The location is beautiful inside and out, making it a great choice for intimate gatherings. One reviewer hosted a wedding dinner for 38 people here, calling it the "Best Choice Ever" with amazing food and top notch service. However, the restaurant has since changed to just a bakery and bistro, with a limited menu. Some reviewers noted inconsistent atmosphere, with some days having soft background music and other days loud pop music. Another guest found both food and drinks only lukewarm. For takeout, the Thanksgiving turkey dinner was described as UNBELIEVABLY delicious but with a shockingly small portion size for $140. The barista was incredibly friendly, making visitors feel right at home.
