Café Ami offers a warm and charming atmosphere with a wide selection of pastries. The service is friendly, and the seating area is spacious, clean, and comfortably arranged, including couches that make it a cozy spot. The restaurant is located in Vancouver General Hospital and is better than most hospital cafeterias, with good cappuccino and tasty treats like their sandwiches and lattes. The recent renovations have expanded the menu and improved the space, providing plenty of nicely spaced seats. While the sausage roll was good, it could use some mustard. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, although the entrance elevator may sometimes be out of order. Prices are a bit high, reflecting inflation, but the overall experience remains enjoyable. Despite limited gluten-free options and slow service, Café Ami is a lovely place to relax with excellent coffee and delicious food, and staff like Maddy add a special touch to the visit.
