Amazing place and owner. They have many variety of teas and the two we tried were delicious
I came to visit VC. I absolutely love this shop. But they need to hire more staff. I only saw one person doing like 3 people's jobs in teabar and it was sad. You can run a good business but to watch someone be left doing everything was actually quite sad to see. I hope when I return that we see more help for the staff / more staff hired.
I've bought different varieties of loose leaf tea from them a few times and they've all been consistently good. I gifted some to my dad and he loved them too.
There's always a long line because they seem understaffed, be prepared to wait patiently. The staff are always friendly and helpful despite being extremely busy.
The staff are really helpful. They will let you take a sniff of the tea before buying so you don’t have to guess blindly by the name. They offer special flavors of tea only available in Vancouver or Canada such as Maple or Stanley Park. Please note that the outer stall is only for fresh drinks while the inner stall is for tea leaves.
Love the convenience here! The iced teas are pre-poured and chilled on ice, so you can just grab one and go.
A huge plus is that the drinks come unsweetened. They have a syrup dispenser on the side, so you can customize the sweetness exactly how you like it. I had the Fruit Iced Tea🍓🍒🫐 which came with a fresh lemon slice—super refreshing and natural.
My go to tea spot in Vancouver. The selection is incredible and the matcha chai will always be my choice of beverage when on Granville Island. I've been buying tea here for over 20 years and yes, it is a very busy spot so it will be busy at times. But it's always worth the wait. The staff are friendly and helpful too.
Great assortment of teas!
Great selection.
Had their chai at the Granville Island location and oh my heavens. They added a dash of cayenne pepper and ginger and the Chai was one of the best I have had. And I am from India so I have had a lot of good chai.
I order for delivery. Prompt service and delivery, good price, great product. What more do you want?

Every time I visit Vancouver I come here to buy tea, they have a wide selection of teas, if you like to drink tea, this is a great place to buy or drink tea.
As someone who takes tea seriously, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s uncommon to find a spot that brews tea with real attention and precision, but this place does it right. Paired with quick, thoughtful service, it made the whole experience even better.
Hello,
I would like to start by saying that I truly appreciate your store. For over 15 years, it has been my go-to place for tea. The prices and the quality have consistently been excellent, and I have been a frequent customer because of that.
However, I’ve recently been feeling uncomfortable during some of my visits. On one occasion near closing time, I was assisted by Alex. When I returned about a month later, he again helped me, but this time he asked for my contact information and where I live. I felt this was unnecessary and it made me uncomfortable. During my first interaction, I brushed off my instincts and assumed he was just being friendly to ensure I had a good experience, but the second encounter crossed a line for me.
More recently, I’ve been helped by Lars a few times, and my experiences have felt similar. I come into the store simply to purchase tea and occasionally chat about tea. Being addressed as “Honey” and hearing comments like “I’ve been waiting for you” or “See you next time, Honey” makes me uncomfortable. During my first interaction with him, he also gave me a 50g sample of Premium Milk Oolong, which surprised me given that 100g costs nearly $40. While I appreciate generosity, the overall tone of the interaction did not feel appropriate to me.
I’m not sure whether other customers have had similar experiences or if this reflects a new approach to customer service. However, I feel uneasy and concerned about visiting the store under these circumstances. I would like to continue shopping there and would appreciate knowing when these individuals are not working so I can feel comfortable during my visits.
Since I live close by. I typically visit Granville island biweekly or monthly to keep my tea and other produce supply fresh. In the past, customer service has consistently exceeded my expectations. Staff members such as Newton, Selah, Scott, Victoria, Meth, Gigi, Yuta, and Minu have always been professional and helpful. Even Stu, despite some hearing difficulties, provided great service.
I do feel that some of the newer staff lack tea knowledge and customer service etiquette.
For personal reasons and safety, I would prefer to remain anonymous.
Thank you for your time and supplying great tea to us at a great price.

Hands down best value for your tea when you buy the 50g loose tea bags
I always come back to refill my tea bags! The staff is very friendly, they have a wide variety of teas and herbal infusions, some blends are made in-house, and the quality is definitely there. I highly recommend!!
