If you like beef tongue you definitely need to check this place out, and if you don't, this would be the place to try something new. I've always loved beef tongue so I was so excited to try this new authentic Japanese restaurant. We shared 3 traditional gyutan sets between the 3 of us. Each set is served with their house soup, pickles, and mugi-meshi (barley rice) or udon. We got the barley rice, it was really slimy, but tasty. I didn't have high expectations given the 2 star rating but I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was nice and good was tasty. Service was good as well. They do close early at 9pm but otherwise it was good. We ordered a curry, a beef set, a beef and tendon stew and the chopsteak.

It is a bit weird that this place doesn’t seem very popular on the bustling Robson St. I live in the neighborhood, but every time I pass by here, business is just okay compared to other restaurants nearby. However their food is pretty decent, nice and cozy atmosphere, good service. My first dining experience here was excellent. A hidden gem I guess?
