Love the "all you can eat" sides that come with the meats, you never leave hungry! Apart from sometimes needing to flag someone down in order to get more drinks, we have no concerns. I'd recommend this place.
The food was delicious but I wanted to point out how outstanding the service was. They were having issues with their payment system the night we went so we had to pay through e-transfer, but the way they handled the situation was incredible. 10/10 would go back.
Kook never disappoints me... i love their luxurious banchan options, the quality of meats and seafood are good as well. They are very accommodating when you're celebrating something (ex: bday, anniversary, etc.) They will help with the cake (bring your own cake, but they store at fridge if needed) Will come back again for sure
One of the best Korean bbq places in Vancouver. You got a variety of protein to choose from and many more. The place can get busy and a bit noisy, but what's a packed restaurant without noise. Y'all should try this restaurant out if you're in the area.
The service is good, and the food was good too. Will definitely come back with more friends.
The quality of the food was good. Service was excellent and attentive. We were seated on time. The dining experience was positive and would likely return in the future. The atmosphere was lively (can be a bit noisy at times for the stall behind us had to speak loudly in order to be heard). The restaurant seemed to cater to the younger crowd (20 to 30 year old crowd).
Service and food were awesome! Definitely recommend this place for Korean BBQ and we would definitely go back again! The owner is super friendly and came over and Personally asked how was everything and make sure everything was good 👍
The service was disappointing. Most of the servers were not very friendly, with the exception of the trainee, who was polite and attentive. It was difficult to get service, as the staff seemed more focused on chatting at the counter. The food was okay, but there are definitely better places to eat nearby.
I visited Kook Korean BBQ with my friend at around 9:45 PM. When we arrived, the staff seated us and we started ordering. At that time, we were informed that each person must order at least one main course in order to receive free refills of side dishes. We understood this policy and agreed, even though we preferred to order gradually. However, later when my friend asked for additional dipping sauce, the staff told us that the kitchen was already closed and refills were no longer available. This was confusing, because earlier we were told about free refills, but once the kitchen was closed, they were no longer provided. What made this more confusing is that the restaurant's closing time is 11:00 PM, yet it seemed that the kitchen may have closed around 10:30 PM. We believe that even if it is close to closing time, refills for guests who are already dining should continue until the restaurant officially closes. Otherwise, this should be clearly explained to customers in advance. If the kitchen was already closed, does that also mean customers can no longer order food at that time? If so, clearer communication about last order time, kitchen closing time, and refill policies would help avoid misunderstandings, especially for guests who arrive later in the evening
This is our 2nd time here. It was very good, especially the side dishes. Service is very prompt, as long as you remember to ring the bell. Wish more restaurants did this.

Had a delicious dinner here after 4 months away, and it did not disappoint. Had to make reservations in order to secure a dinner time slot, went for a double date with the kids gone for the weekend. Service was great, very attentive and friendly. Food was fresh and the meat was amazing. Spent a few weeks in Korea back in June, and this is authentic as you can get. Would definitely come back in the next six months!

Update November 2025: The side dishes are still consistently very good and there is quite a variety.
Original: Delicious Korean BBQ with nice decor and fancy BBQ grills that pull the smoke down and into the table. Prepare yourself for a wide array of side dishes served in traditional bronzeware.
The restaurant was cold when we went, likely because all those grills are drawing in outside air. There are little boxes under your seats where you can put your clothes so the smell permeates onto them less.

Definitely one of my favourite Korean bbq places. Jin was so helpful and really good with his service. I love the food and the portion was way too much. Highly recommend everyone to try it.
