The salmon on the salmon burger died a second time while cooking. It got overcooked until it was completely dry

The burgers were amazing! If you don’t like seafood, I highly recommend trying these burgers at Island.

Great value, great tasting food! Good size menu with something for everything. Regardless of how popular the place is, they get food out quickly and its really tasty.

I spent the day at Granville Island, I grabbed breakfast at Market Grill. I had the best gluten free breakfast sandwich, the cashier is also gluten free and nicely explained my option. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that had egg, bacon, cheese, lettuce and chipotle sauce on a gluten free bun. The bun held up well and did not fall apart, and I got lemonade to drink.

I was so in love with this place! Got it recommended to me years ago and I instantly fell in love with it, food was consistently good and service is excellent. I hyped this place so much for my family, I raved about their salmon burger and veggie burger and when we got there it was just not it. The original flavour was missing, and when the girl was asked what is in your veggie burger patty she said “veggies” hahaha. Anyhow, I hope they bring the rich flavour and excellent service back at some point, but for now unfortunately I can’t speak highly of this place anymore

The salmon sandwich with chips was ok. I ordered at the counter then sat on their private patio outside to the left and probably should have ordered out there. Table service wasn't great but a nice view, ok place. i was still hungry so then got smoked salmon on a multigrain croissant from L'Epicerie Bake Shop diagonal from this for half the price, and enjoyed that the most

Appallingly rude and borderline discriminatory service — completely lacking the basic courtesy or respect one would expect, let alone the so-called “Canadian politeness.”

The food was passable, but the staff’s behavior was unacceptable. While seated and waiting for our order to arrive, I was questioned twice in a condescending tone about whether I had actually ordered food there. It was already 3:30 p.m., and my young children (aged 3 and 1) were hungry, so I began feeding them a small soup we had brought along. Despite this, the staff watched us, whispered among themselves, and again approached me — this time demanding an order number.

I had to walk up and show them the receipt just to justify our presence, after which they brushed it off as “just explaining the rules.” No family — especially one with young children who is clearly paying and waiting for their food — should be treated with suspicion or hostility.

Frankly, this kind of treatment makes it hard to believe race wasn’t a factor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — unless you’re white.

Reply to you Mr President of the great market grill! Yes you do have small amount of seats compared to the traffic. But your staff can’t be condescending about it and expect patrons to keep quiet, we will standup for ourselves especially when we haven’t done anything outside of your rules. While it’s great to spend your time going through your camera footages and google reviews all day everyday, spend sometime on your employees training too, on how to be kind all the while explaining your rules to your paying customers, especially with families and little kids.
Also, I almost forgot to mention this, first one of those two employees you are referring to, has been sitting alone at a 4-person capacity table for her lunch break while 2-chair tables were very openly available, check your patio footage for that first, Mr President the great. I don’t care where she sits when, but if your tables are so precious decked out diamonds at Canada's “busiest places” and you’d like your patrons to get a chance at a table, then probably coach your employees to not hog them while a 5 person paying family with kids is struggling to get a seat.

Granville Island Market Grill IS fast food, but it is prepared with excellent quality produce. And there are several places to sit and enjoy your food. Inside or Outside. If you go outside you must be aware of the food stealing, swooping seagulls. They even have a sign warning you on the counter!
Fair pricing, fresh quality food, served quickly, what else do you want? Open for breakfast, lunch your choice. Big YES from me!

We come here a lot and have always had great food and service. Except for yesterday. We paid for table service and tipped accordingly and the server was downright RUDE. Next time we will tip AFTER.

I don't care how busy you are , cook the burgers fully next time.
