As a beer and massive atmospheric vibe girl, I saw all the reviews saying how the atmosphere was just not it here. I disagree. The ambiance here is like a funky dive bar, Tiki, hotel, beer lounge. Everything feels new and clean. Good little touches around. I thought it to be a funky beer lounge. That being said. The music needs a level up. I love Nelly furtado, but this place needs more of a lounge, underground feel for music. Not pop. I’m sad to see it so empty on a Friday night. I hope people see its potential!! Let’s support one of the oldest breweries! With some cool events and happy hours and specials I see this place booming!

Having been to Howe Sound Brewing in Squamish many times, which is good, I was keen to try out this place. I and three friends dropped by after a run for drinks and dinner. Their beer is good, of course. The food was ok, service was lacking, considering there were only four other people in the place. The atmosphere is certainly not there. One of my friends commented afterwards, that it was like going to Denny's for beers.

This is a very cool, clean and trendy bar with some private, semi-private rooms, right on East Hastings.
A good happy hour and friendly staff, and decent food!
We will be back!

I've been to many craft breweries including the mothership in Squamish, this location has a very odd vibe that just does not exude a craft beer hang out feel. It feels contrived with tiki bamboo columns, a bright kidney shaped swimming pool looking ceiling, odds and sods remnants flooring in one place and an unmatching floor in another. Random decor that feels like an Asian restaurant versus craft beer. Beer is good but small selection and same recipes as 5 years ago. 16oz beer was $8.50! Nothing they are doing here makes you want to stay or revisit. Weird and new but ordinary.

A sparsely populated pub on a Friday night is usually a red flag. Staff were friendly but the place felt like a graveyard. The beer I ordered was rancid and the bartender left it up to me to determine it so. I would hope they’d know if a keg had gone off before testing it on a customer.

We hadn't visited the original Howe Sound brewery in ages, so we figured stopping by their Vancouver outpost on our way to a game would be a nostalgic nod to the past, considering the iconic Waldorf location. Sadly, nostalgia was about the only thing that didn't disappoint. The service was painfully slow, largely due to the lone staff member who was left to juggle orders and bartend for the entire floor. This one-man show resulted in us arriving at the stadium later than planned. Oddly enough, the table next to us got their drinks before us, despite arriving later—go figure.

The food was passable until the cheese and wild mushroom pizza showed up. The dough was lackluster, and the overly sweet honey truffle drizzle clashed horribly with the mushrooms. It might work on a pear and Gorgonzola pizza, but definitely not this one.

All told, it wasn't the revival of good times we'd hoped for, and I'm afraid we won't be making a return visit.

The place functions as the hotel’s restaurant, its new but the interior doesn’t seem to have been renovated much.I’m leaving this review because we had to unfortunately walk out because we received no service. We waited 25 minutes for a menu. HOWEVER, a person who came in after our party received their beer before we even got greeted.

Was there for the Superbowl:Pros:-friendly staff-good food-Took our reservation-A positive change to the neighborhoodCons:-No sound system. All the audio came from the TVs, which caused an echo effect. No central system to hear over some speakers. Couldn't hear the game or the halftime show. Won't be coming back for Monday night football or other sporting events.-My water and my friends beer had a chemical/detergent taste to it. I'm assuming the rinse cycle did not work. Waitress was very nice w/ replacements.-The atmosphere is a little generic. Almost like a hotel lobby.

$25 for Nachos with no cheese! Service was satisfactory but this place “lacks” management who can create an atmosphere worth returning to.
