A friend brought me here and despite knowing basically nothing about tea I had a wonderful time. As someone who’s trying to get away from alcohol-centric social life I really appreciated the relaxed, sensory friendly vibe. Staff were great too!
2025/07 Been to this Tea House twice so far. Both are splendid sessions. Yesterday we had this Hashiri (Green tea new leaf). It's one of the best green tea I have had so far.
We had 4 washes and it's a plethora of senses.
The 1st round is super fresh and rich in flavor, as if tasting a blob of spring. The 2nd round is full of umami, a taste often ignored in Western drinks. The 3rd round had less umami, and the bittersweetness starts to take over. In the 4th and final round every taste is more blended and homogeneous.
Definitely recommending this place to tea tasters.
If you even remotely like tea, you'd be amiss to not stop by here. Incredible environment full of people who know their craft, quality product, and an overall good vibe. Had an incredible sencha (pictured below) and will be back.
Friendly staff, nice tea!
Excellent customer service and good quality tea. Highly recommend.
Knowledgeable staff and an excellent selection of teas to drink and to purchase. Highly recommend.
The staff member who helped me with my pickup order was very friendly and helpful! I liked the calm atmosphere inside this tea stop.
A very pleasant experience and calm atmosphere :) We bought leaves and tasted some teas as well. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly - it was really interesting to watch how different teas can be brewed. They also offer a way to experience tasting teas more affordably (comparatively, to what I've seen).
This place is incredible, it was my favourite spot 6 years ago as well as now. If you aren’t a big alcohol guy, come here with some friends and share some tea. Lots of unique and speciality teas hand selected. Worth every dollar.
They may just become the default place I get my green tea
O5 Rare Tea Bar is unlike any other tea place in Vancouver. If you’re into high-quality, single-origin teas and a more thoughtful, immersive tea experience, this place is a must-visit. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate — they walk you through each tea’s origin, brewing method, and flavor notes with care.
The vibe is calm and minimal, perfect for slowing down and really savoring your tea. I tried a hand-whisked matcha and a flight of Taiwanese oolongs — both were exceptional. You can also try kombucha on tap or seasonal cold brews. Prices reflect the quality, but it’s worth every dollar.
Highly recommend for anyone who wants to explore tea beyond the typical café scene. Will definitely be back!

The white tea (dragonclaw) was amazing! Everyone is super knowledgeable and passionate about serving good tea. Loved the ambience.
My first tea ceremony, dragon claws white tea and incredible atmosphere of the place delighted me.
Thank you very much for the service.
Amazing place that offers fantastic tea experience and a variety of tea selections. All tea are organically sourced and traceable to the growing region. Staff are super passionate and knowledgeable, very helpful for getting the right tea to the customers. A great place if you are a tea lover, or simply wants to spend a nice afternoon there relaxing and enjoying a tea and a good read.
Thank you Rose for your service. I came to this store for the first time because a friend recommended it to me.
The staff in the store are very friendly. Today is Wednesday, and many people come to drink tea in the afternoon.
The recommended Bancha tea is very good , I like it very much.
This is a great place to stay in Kitsilano if you want to relax.😊
Bad experience with their staff avoiding coming here at all cost.
