SHORT STORY VERSION:
Ordered 4x Mango Spring Tea (buy 1 get 1 promo), added extra $1.00 for Mango Tapioca for each drink..

Drink arrives and NO STRAWS for all 4 drinks. Restaurant admits no straws were sent out. Mentioned via Uber eats about mistake and says "thank you for your feedback". Restaurant's best solution given was to COMP 1 FREE TOPPING for next visit for 1 DRINK and 4 extra missing straws, without charge. Clearly and slowly confirmed this was their solution.. No drinks remade, no other offers, confirmed by the owner as per staff. #SOL

Prefer to praise rather than exasperated feedback but this was just such a silly response recovery..

This place has one of the best pearls! Haven’t had a bad drink here yet. I usually order the passion fruit green tea and they are legit. The drink is made with real passion fruit (seeds included!). Highly recommend!

I came in for my free birthday drink from the app, and I was pleasantly surprised there were dairy free soy milk options for some drinks. I tried the Oolong Brown Sugar Milk Tea with soy milk. Even though it is listed as being only 25% sweet, the brown sugar syrup is very sweet and delicious. I tried to ask for sweeter without knowing so, but they let me know 25% sweet is the only sweetness level the brown sugar drinks come in. The flavour was very smooth and not overpowering at all, I would gladly order it again. The fresh tapioca was fantastic as well, the pearls are not as large as some other places, but they have great flavour, mouthfeel, and chewyness. I just wished I had a bigger cup so I could get more! I also ordered a bubble waffle while I was here. My only gripe was that they did not serve it to me hot, but instead cooled it down in front of a fan so that it was not quite warm when handed to me. I also thought they may have browned it for too long, but it might have just been the sugar content in the batter that turned it dark, because it tasted very good even if it was cool.

Even tho the Metro location is closed, this location has the same great pearls and tea.

The best pearls in Vancouver and my favorite drink at Onezo is the strawberry niuniu. I miss the Burnaby branch which was much more central with free parking. The staff at Burnaby was also a lot nicer than this location. Owner is great though! Sign up for their rewards system cause they have tons of coupons

It's actually my first time trying BBT at this onezo branch. The other one was always sold out of pearls.

The staff were very nice, especially Stephanie. She spent a few minutes explaining the menu to me from the most popular drinks to just small chat. Chill.

The drinks and food took quite a while. I was waiting for over 5 minutes, and was late for my personal appointments.

The quality of the food and drink was quite frankly subpar. It was very expensive for what I was getting too. Even worse, I forgot to try the handmade pearls so I can't write a review about that yet. On the bright side, the drinks themselves weren't sweet. I ordered 50% sweet and it had no sugar at all.

I'd like to try this place a few more times and raise the rating if my first impression wasn't correct.

At the very least, Stephanie did a great job in making me feel like a welcome customer.

They are nice and chill. The pearls are fresh and real, not like a plastic ball

Order the taro drink and it was amazing. Honestly one of my favorite taro drinks out there. Unfortunately, customer service needs massive improvement. I don’t know if it was me asking questions (there were two types of taro drink) or if I were interrupting their lunch break (it was after 12), but there is absolutely no excuse for them to raise their voice at me. I’m not the sensitive type and I usually shrugged it off. But unless they are really busy, they shouldn’t act that way to customers. This is also coming from a former barista with over 2 years experience.

Although it took quite a long time for bubble waffle preparation, the bubble tea was really good ?

best tapioca ever ?

Good: Onezo tapioca apparently means mix of all kinds of pearls including black sesame pearls which was a pleasant surprise as I would not have tried it on my own.

Average/bad: I only finished half the bubble waffle and half the bbt. It just wasn't good enough to finish the rest. I feel like I would only come back if I was absolutely desperate for a bbt or else I would choose another franchise
