I ordered the Kurtis special sandwich. It was on the best sandwiches I’ve ever had from a cafe. Can’t wait to try the other in-house made dishes.

So much to say. This cafe is best in class. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Devon, always has a lunch special and the place is filled with regulars - all of which he knowns by name. I have a lot of love for this place - You’ll be missing out on a wonderful experience if you don’t try their coffee and teas. Come enjoy something special here!

Loved it! They've changed owners since the last time I went there. Some nice Taiwanese guy was behind the counter. He was friendly and hardworking and competent. I had these awesome spicy dumplings, the Kurtis sandwich, and an Indonesian coffee.I always complain that there isn't a breakfast place in Marpole, but from 9-11 this place serves breakfast. They have western style breakfasts and Chinese stuff.I liked my Indonesian coffee. It's a latte with coconut milk. They have two bathrooms here, which is nice. The seating arrangements are also very good. There are a lot of decently sized tables with enough chairs.I would totally recommend this place over Wick's. It's more spacious and more well laid out, and despite them doing some cooking, it's less defeaningly loud.

Decided to stop by to work and have lunch when im waiting for the mechanic to finish work on my car. Appearance wise the cafe seems unassuming but it has very friendly staff (Paul)! Had their wonton soup - they say that they make the wontons themselves. Their chili oil is also made in house I believe, but it’s a little hot. It was awesome. The community is lucky to have a cafe like this! Will be back when I’m around.

This cafe is owned by Taiwanese and it is a hidden gem in the neighbourhood. The cafe has a causal ambient and you can find many choices of foods which are not expensive.I ordered the lunch special which is spaghetti bolognaise with meat balls. The portion is big and you can’t find the same price elsewhere with this big portion. The latte was find too. The cost performance was beyond my expectation. The interior was clean and neat and the free WiFi password was shown clearly. The owner was very friendly to us and we had a nice little chat. He served me the latte and asked me if I needed more spaghetti. The service was great.Outside the cafe there are roadside parking spaces. The place is easy to find. I’d recommend this cafe and I will go there again for sure.

Comfy, eclectic daily specials, prepared and served by the most kind-hearted and humble team. This is a true hidden gem, nestled beside Airport Square and across the street from the Cafe de l’Orangerie plaza.Oriole draws from a variety of influences and cultures, serving sausage-egg-toast breakfast plates, Chinese chili oil dumplings, and a Japanese style egg sandos. But the real draw are the daily specials, which are truly on rotation; even the most adventurous diner will not get bored. Every special I’ve tried has been top notch and the value is incredible, especially in this economy. The coffee and tea options are also thoughtfully selected and prepared with care. And don’t get me started on the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies…Apart from the food, what really keeps me coming back is the service - the owner, Devon, has a heart of gold. It shows in the attention he gives to every customer who walks through his door and the time he invests to genuinely get to know his regulars. I love Oriole Café!

I stumbled upon this coffee shop while waiting for a ride, and I must say, it turned out to be a delightful surprise. They offer a wide range of dishes spanning from the East to the West, catering to various tastes and preferences. Intrigued by the menu, I decided to try their Taiwanese beef soup. Although it may not be as authentic as a dedicated noodle soup place, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The soup was rich, the meat was tender, and every spoonful was a delightful combination of savory goodness.Aside from the food, the coffee served here is truly exceptional. Whether it was a latte or a cappuccino, each sip was a moment of pure indulgence. The baristas clearly know their craft, and the quality of the coffee is evident in every cup.One aspect that stood out during my visit was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make customers feel welcome and appreciated. It was impressive to witness the server's ability to remember the names of frequent patrons, creating a personalized and friendly atmosphere. The dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.Furthermore, the prices at this coffee shop are reasonable, considering the quality of the food and drinks. It's a place where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a cup of coffee without breaking the bank.In summary, my experience at this coffee shop was a delightful one. The combination of flavorful dishes, excellent coffee, and exceptional service makes it a place worth visiting. Whether you're craving a hearty bowl of Taiwanese beef soup or simply seeking a cozy spot for a cup of coffee, this coffee shop has you covered.

Owner Devin and his crew do their very best to get you hot, homemade food as fast as they can. Like so many food and beverage spots, they are struggling in the high cost, low engagement aftermath of the main pandemic, so cut them a little slack if you go during lunch rush. I am very partial to the Taiwanese offerings here, with noodles, dumplings and wonton made on site, but they also have sandwiches and other items that are tasty as heck. Everything is generous and well priced, an increasing rarity. And don't sleep on the Basque cheesecake (also made by Devin) if its in the case. Only $4 a slice!! The place is different from the previous reviews with slightly longer hours Mon to Fri. It's a wee bit hard to spot from the street as it's at the top of some stairs behind a plaza but just look up and you'll see the sign. Worth it!
