“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol“

Great selection to choose from, in fact deciding on which salad to have was the worst part of the visit. I’d looked at the menu online before arriving and thought I had decided what I wanted to order until I got there and made the mistake of looking at the menu again and they all sounded so delicious.

Obviously this isn’t a place to go for the atmosphere, but all tables were clean. Staff weren’t particularly cheery but the male member of staff serving us was pleasant enough.“

“Been going here for years. I get the stir fry with brown rice topped with spicy soy sauce, Hainanese ginger & green onion sauce and sriracha. They are so generous, you wonder when they're going to stop heaping the food into the bowl. Same for their salads. You can get three for $11.00 and I usually get two meals out them. Outstanding value. Plus the staff is always very nice.“

“Both my sister and I visited and purchased food several times at the Purple Grain. My Father was at VGH. I'm a vegan and my sister an omnivore. This is some of the healthiest and most delicious food I've had in a while. It was a lovely surprise to find this gem and I would highly recommend it. Also Ami and Francesco are the most wonderful hosts. An awesome place with lovely people. If everyone ate like this, in the long run......I bet you could eventually cut the hospital patient load dramatically.“

“I was the producer of a student short film and ordered catering services from Keto Caveman Café, based on word by mouth of a an elder student. Despite the hectic production and I was unable to capture a picture of our food (Burritos, Lasagna, Butter Chicken), the meals were amazing and substantial. (Was even given a free dessert on the last day!) The person who I was in contact with, Eliza, was kind and supportive in my three days as a first-time producer and even composer: she was communicative and talking with her on the phone over catering management was effective and also allows me to destress. If that's not amazing customer service I wouldn't know what is. Keep rocking hard y'all! You guys are troopers👍“

“We were staying at the hotel while my hubby had heart surgery and ate there our first night. THE FOOD AT ATMOSPHERE IS AMAZING!! The second night I made an order online but accidentally pushed the Westshore location...(I'm in Saanich) when I was pointed out my mistake the young man up front went to talk to his manager Jenn! “Just went to this amazing Italian restaurant and had an excellent time with my family. The food was incredible, portions were generous, and the prices and service were great. You have to try the Zucca appetizer—it’s so good! I had the sable fish, and it was cooked perfectly. Finished with tiramisu and panna cotta, both were next-level delicious. A true hidden gem—highly recommend!“

“Expensive but flavourful authentic Italian style pizzas!

We chose one cauliflower (thin) crust and a regular crust (which is thin crust ~ yay!) both 10” and both vegetarian

Regarding the Margherita, we chose the cauliflower crust, which turned out to be much better than others’ versions

The Funghi Tartufo alfredo sauce pizza was also an excellent product - just wish there were more mushrooms. The crust was perfectly thin, with the mix of cheese and alfredo sauce coming out as the strongest flavours

Pretty expensive for 10” pizzas, so keep an eye out for specials

We kept leftovers, so those pics posted are before and after they were reheated

Ordered the chicken wings they were old, and it was hard to chew off meat.

“Went on a Friday night with my 2 friends.. order 3 different ones (Niku, Shio & Carbonara) and upgrade all bowls to XXL for free. Also, an appetizer, ebi mayo. The place wasn’t that busy, so it was nice. Service was ok… the main dishes were on the salty side.“

“The food here is exceptional melt in the mouth beef Short ribs with polenta, all of us tried it and wished we'd ordered it too! I had the pear and walnut salad with the belly pork and was not disappointed. We had the burrata and prosciutto starter but didn't get the chance to take a pic as it was devoured 😋 the pizzas are like Sicilian pizzas light full of flavour and prepared with love. I didn't get to try the mac and cheese that was gone in seconds but my nephew loved it and asked to come back with us ❤️ I had a brownie that had all the indulgence of a brownie but so light, hubby had Mandarin sorbet which delivered on every note, nephews had tiramisu and lemon mousse and that didn't touch the sides. “A favourite bar in Vancouver for light snacks & aperitifs. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.“
