“I absolutely love their fresh sandwiches and soups all made from scratch and the menu is very affordable. My favourite sandwiches are the BBQ Pulled Pork and Pesto Chicken which is bursting with flavour. I love all of their soups although some of the soups are a little too salty for me. They also sell a lot of their soups in pouches that you can take home and warm up yourself which I like.“

“Ramen Kounotori is a good choice for late late sunny afternoons or even early evenings for the following reasons: the high ceilings, the beautiful decor, the mixture of post modern chic tones of concrete, pastel, wood, and blue. It’s a mixture of a warm and cool, postmodern vibe. The ramen is tasty, up until now the first three choices have been savoured with relish and delight. Service is most charming accompanied by smiles, good wishes & pleasant sounding nihon-rhythmic flourishes. At the end of the week, and later in the evenings, the café is well attended. Ramen here can be well appreciated on a cold fall day, but no less during the rest of the year with any weather.“

“The beef, lamb pattys are delicious. The vegetarian sandwich is delicious. If you look close enough you'll see walnuts inside! Pretty cool! And now for the show stopper. Holy crow... That kol patty is unbelievably good! Detected spices and it is warm and fresh. The owner is very very friendly and he came around the counter to hand it personally.
Great addition and staple in the Coal Harbour community. Definitely give this place a shot for lunch you won't be disappointed!“

“Chicken noodle soup with a divine piece of bread all from The Stock Market—what a perfect name for a soup spot! An absolute gem in Granville Island’s public market, and just the thing to warm you up on a chilly day. Can sit down and enjoy your soul warming soup while taking in the view. Perfect!“

“Mehdi, the owner is really hospitable. The salads are my go to 1-2 times a week for sure, it is fresh, yummy, healthy and cheaper than most unhealthy lunch options. Love their customer engagement on guessing the weight of your bowl and getting it free if guess correctly. ❤️“

“Omg the food is amazing!!!! Today I tried the veggie chili and it was really the best in Vancouver. I also tried the special of the day and it was really tasty. I looked at the salad bar and I didn’t have the chance to try but certainly I’ll do it next time. Also the personal was great and super friendly and I received a really good service.“

“My husband and I visited Saiko for the first time tonight and it’s our new favourite sushi place. We sat at the sushi bar and learned so much about sushi from the chef/owner! The nigiri we had was incredibly fresh, and likely the fish was still swimming yesterday, according to the chef. Their fish is regularly flown fresh from Japan during the week. We really enjoyed the big eye/ striped jack, renko dai/ big eye, and kanpachi/ amberjack nigiris, unagi don, and salad with real crab meat. Thank you for the wonderful evening Saiko sushi!!“

“First time ordering from the restaurant. Food was nice, hot & fresh, delivered by Door Dash. 53. Ginger Fried Beef. was not quite what I expected (visually), but equally delicious as comparable restaurants'. Nice & spicy/gingery. The120. Fried Yee Mein with Mushroom was beautifully done with long tender mildly flavoured noodle strands that glides on it's own. Flavored just right. A definite 👍 👍
Order was delivered on time and in a cute delivery bag too!“

“Conveniently located ramen restaurant, with lots of options. On my last visit I ordered the vegetarian ramen. It was really good and was the perfect portion size to leave you feeling satisfied. I loved the crispy lotus root, it added a nice texture to the soup. Great lunch option if you work nearby. Excellent service and great location“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year. The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food. The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“This Bubble Waffle is becoming our favourite location. The Missus and I have had dinner here a couple of times and were pleased with the food and service. They also have specials with discounts. The Missus was fortunate to have her favourite fish noodle soup on both visits at a savings. The Laksa soup was also flavourful with the right amount of heat. We top it off with a fresh and delicious bubble waffle. It’s a thumbs up Bubble Waffle!“

“Food:
Overall, the foods were like having a delicious homecooked Filipino feast with generous portions!
I chose a lunch special; they gave an in-house soup as a complimentary appetizer. It does remind me of having a veggie & Chinese shark fin soup, and it does taste great — it compensates my time of waiting for the main course 🍲
Then the pork adobo w/ lumpiang meal combo arrived. They were so savoury, really flavourful, and all well-cooked! Definitely an excellent value and worth the try 🍛 The portion size was like 2 servings worth, so it may be worth bringing a lunch box if eating alone (they charge $1 / container).
Then I had the buko pandan sherbet for dessert. It had just the right amount of sweetness and a nice coconuty creaminess. It's like a milkshake, but Filipino edition. 🍧 Also, it was a tall cup worth nearly 2 servings!
However, my only slight dislike was some handful of bubble tea pearls having the undercooked, gritty texture on their inner-center. I don't mind since that is a tolerable minor issue.
Service:
I went for a one person dine-in. After going through the menu, I waited for over 10 minutes, while seeing a group of patrons who were after me, already being serviced. Then I put my coat on and was about to leave till a server lady quickly attended me—I finally had my order taken. Moreover, the server staff don't really check up on the patrons, so I'd have to grab their attention if I wanted something. But they were cordial nonetheless, since they did, at least, provide the takeout containers as requested. In conclusion, the service can be frustrating at the start even if it's not too busy—from my own experience.“

“An absolute gem of a Hong Kong-style restaurant! They had some of the most iconic HK noodles and non-soup entrées.
I loved that they could let me choose pork intestines or any other meat topping for my noodle soup. I ordered laksa and I found it perfectly hot and spicy and creamy. The hot milk tea was so delicious and more rich than that at other HK places in Vancouver.
Although we were the last ones there with 5 minutes to go until last call, they let us take our time eating until closing time. However, because they had finished cleaning and were chatting while waiting for us to finish, I felt like I should hurry to be respectful of their time. Next time, I would love to come for lunch and spend more time here. I was told their fish soup is amazing, so that’s what I’ll try next time.“

“The kimchi and duck tongue in the cold dishes are very delicious. The cold pot crucian carp is mediocre and expensive. The seating arrangement at the table is not very reasonable, and I could hear other tables chatting during the entire meal.“

“Came here to watch UFC 313. Speakers were very loud, almost too loud to hold conversation at the table. Service was okay.
Most annoying thing was we ordered the 4 cheese melt and menu clearly indicates it comes with tomato soup. Our server never asked about the side and it came with fries.
Took forever for her to come back and she acted surprised when we inquired about the soup. It’s commented etiquette to ask about the side, no? Fries were nothing special so kind of killed the vibe on the food.
Otherwise everything was just okay“

“Visited Vancouver and went to Jang Mo Jip! It's a must go to place to visit for us whenever we go. Their Korean fried chicken wings are fantastic! Also try their galbi (bbq short ribs) and mixed rice dish in a stone pot aka bibimbap! Tried a medley of other things as we went twice. Check them out!“

“During my visit to Hyderabadi Biryani House with four friends, we had a delightful dining experience that truly showcased the restaurant's expertise in traditional Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was a highlight, with its soft, fluffy texture and rich garlic flavor that perfectly complemented the meal. The veg dum biryani was equally impressive, offering a fragrant mix of spices and perfectly cooked rice that provided a satisfying, hearty dish. The veg curries were another standout, with their rich, aromatic gravies and fresh vegetables that delivered a burst of authentic flavors. The meal was a fantastic experience, with these dishes standing out as the stars of the evening.“
