Stumbled upon an unassuming bakery in Vancouver’s Chinatown today. To my surprise, everything from the bread to the bao and dim sum was extra-large—unlike anything I’ve seen before. While the taste wasn’t mind-blowing, the prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back

I was in the 'hood and decided on this 1 of 3 old bakeries in Chinatown. Got there too early at 9 am (opens at 7:30) on a weekday and only a few items were available. Lots of pickup drivers coming here. Their $2.50 sweet Chinese donut (picture) are the best and it's hard to finish the whole thing. They have some dim sum and the baked BBQ pork buns are only $2.45 but there's less pork compared to New Town. Paid $15 for my 7 pieces (between $2-$2.50). Low-priced compared...
