I'm from Sydney and found this ramen place from Google maps. Also have lived in a ramen suburb for nearly a year in Japan, so my taste buds are well acquainted with the true ramen.Ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen. Soup has the right balance of richness, body to it. Noodles are on the thicker side (as shown in one of the photos). The soup has more of the seaweed flavour as some other reviewers described, so it has a distinct character to it.Chashu uses the right fatty cut so it very soft and tender, not like some places where they use lean cuts.Bamboo shoots are also fresh.Perhaps the egg yolk can be slightly more runnier but I can't ask for anything more. I inhaled the entire bowl of noodes, slurped up all the soup in 15 minutes. This place is definitely worth repeats. If they can do a seemingly plain tonkotsu Shoyu ramen that well, every bowl will satisfy you!Thank you so much for bringing this perfect bowl of ramen.

This place is open about 3 maybe 4 times a week at best. and the chef harasses customers for the must mundane things a typical Canadian would say...

The good things:-Ramen & Gyoza taste good-Portion okay (not small but men may need extra noodles or meat)We are a family of 4, my daughter who doesn’t like egg, after taking few bites of her ramen soup noticed that all 3 of us had 1/2 egg. She said it’s ok I don’t even like egg in our ramen bowls. But my son was like i’ll have it- so we decided to let the server know. Now here is when it got ugly: the chef came out and said “here’s the 1/2 egg, but that bowl i saw there was 1/2 egg” oh no no no. Did you just accuse us of lying?!NEVER AGAIN. Sorry! Also- told at least 10 people about my experience.

The ramen was perfectly made - noodles had great texture and the soup was super umami. Highly recommend the truffle ramen!

A down to earth neighbourhood ramen shop, with solid bowls of no fuss, delicious ramen. The Shoyu ramen was tasty, and not so heavy to leave you feeling bogged down, even after downing all the soup! Highly recommend!

Very yummy ramen. The broth is flavourful and satisfying but not too rich. The Chashu bits were delicious! We tried the shoyu, spicy miso (super spicy!!), and garlic tomato. All were good; my favourite was the garlic tomato broth which has a slightly sweeter profile. If I were to nitpick, I’ve had better ramen eggs.

Highly deserved rating!! The broth is rich and filled with umami, the noodles are bouncy and the portion size is great! The atmosphere is like old Japanese style. I recommend the shouyu one!! If you have a more western palette, I recommend the tomato one! It tastes like a hearty pasta soup!

My family loves going to Ramen Tsukiya. The food is delicious, especially the chashu bits. We usually order a few of those bowls alone. Ramen Miso and Ramen Shoyu are both great. The service is quick and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The ramen was very good. I don't know how to describe it, but the little details, the decorations, the Bandai collections, Zoro I love Zoro! If I weren't shy I'd chat with them a bit. The ramen was very good compares to all the ramen I had in Vancouver. It has everything I like in it, soft boiled eggs, bamboo shoots, pork chashu and soup ( made with love I guess, and bits of fat). I'll definitely come back!

This must be one of the best ramen spots in the city. I had their spicy miso tonkotsu ramen and it was the most delicious bowl of ramen I have had in Canada. The depth and richness of the broth rival a good ramen-ya in Tokyo. The chewy noodles, fatty pork belly, lean pork shoulder and thick broth blended perfectly and created an amazing experience. The shop is small but very cozy and has that rustic feel. If there is one reason to love the weather in BC it is to sit inside Tsukiya and have a bowl of ramen on a rainy day.

Super tiny ramen shop but large and hold in flavour!! A must try!!!The seating is limited due to its size so either come off peak hours or be prepared to wait a bit (ramen usually has high turnover so it’s usually not a long wait) and even if it was.. it is most definitely worth it!!The broths are soooo full of flavour, the ramen noodles the perfect consistency and pork is perfection. Oh and the egg…. The egg was the best ramen egg I’ve ever had.We also had their soul gyoza appetizer and fried gyoza and both were phenomenal. We will definitely be back.? 5.5/5
