I really love this garden cafe. You can sit outside in a warm day, and the ambience inside is always bright and welcoming. Food in both cheap and good consider that this is a west side and touristy location. Highly recommend.
The cafe is before you go through to pay to enter the gardens. There are indoor and outdoor seating. Except for the confusing and awkward line up to order, all is great here…the food, the pricing (10% off for members), the service…
I visited the Garden Cafe at VanDusen and decided to try a few things from their menu. The latte, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming and could definitely be improved in flavour and texture. On the other hand, the almond croissant was absolutely delicious, very fresh and flaky. I also had the banana bread, which was moist, tasty, and surprisingly large, making it great value for the price.
