“I’m a pretty strict vegetarian & yet I love this place for three reasons:
1) It is one of the only, if not the only, businesses on Cambie between W 2nd & W Broadway that is still around after the redevelopment that happened in the mid to late 2000’s. It’s been there as long as I can remember, so 1980s or 1990s. It stands out as less shiny & new than the other buildings. The fact it has a surface-level parking lot that is FREE speaks to how it pre-dates astronomical real-estate values 🤣
2) The drive-through is open until 3:00 AM or something. NOTHING else in that part of town is open that late! It has been a tradition of mine for approx. 25 yrs to get fries at Wendy’s on my way home after a night out.
3) I always chuckle at all the marks on the painted-yellow wood(?) on the wall of the building where cars failed to navigate the tight turn of the drive-through. I’ve never failed to do that myself so I guess there’s lots of slightly drunk drivers (a bit scary) or just people who don’t know the dimensions of their own car 🤣“
“The food was good, hot, and very tasteful. The service was very quick when I went there. The staff were nice, friendly, and very respectful. Lots of available parking. Had a nice burger special.
Parking: About 20 spots to park.“
“Pretty good food from Wendy's. Always fresh. They don't cut corners. Service was what you'd expect. It was busy And you always got to wait behind those damn lazy people who can't get off their asses to pick up their own food. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones too much money and on our brains. But aside from that and back to Wendy's. The burgers are good. I like the way they pull holes in them. Whatever works. Fine by me. Little bit of a high school gangster want to be crowd popping in and about there and Wendy's needs to deal with that. So that I don't have to. By the way, when your hair is cut, you don't need to keep cutting it. Thanks for the food. Thanks for the frosties things for the memories“
