Fresh creamy pesto pasta
Awesome pasta, my daughter loves it!
Why go anywhere else?
One of the highlights of our Vancouver British Columbia trip was traveling to Grandville market in Vancouver. We bought several items from Zara‘s. The owners and staff were super sweet and shared the story of How Zara’s started….. super helpful and gave us many ideas together a nice italian snack for later?
Loved visiting this local deli. They had a whole range of cooked and uncooked pasta. Some really good olives, pasta salads, and delicious cheese varieties to choose from. Had some fresh olives with Orzo, cherry tomatoes in pesto, and bocconcini. I would love to visit again.
Visited Zara’s today for the first time in years. This shop is a true Vancouver GEM. If you are a serious at home chef, or just want to appear like one, Zara’s is your place.
I was looking for a particular type of Balsamic vinegar, and found it there, along side a truly amazing selection of oils.
Turning to the fresh case, the olives are outstanding, and the burrata will make a summer tomato sing. I was lucky to be assisted by o/o Jesse, who will take this longtime Vancouver family business to the next level. Five stars!
I saw boxed Zara's ravioli at the KITS Whole Foods! However if you're at Granville Island, the variety is top shelf :)
I have more than one complaint about this place. It’s over priced for what it is. I mean they use canola oil in their deli section…
Yesterday was the final straw. We picked up a generous portion of their antipasti. It contained mainly pickled onions, they cheaped out on the other ingredients but the worst part is it tasted off, like it had spoiled already and mind you, we opened it the next day after having stored it in the fridge!
I feel conned and I don’t want to go back there because it feels more and more like a tourist trap. I feel cheated out of the money I spent there. I would recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. This business is opportunistic at best.

Make sure to double check your purchases. I got the smoked olives today and was charged for Parmesan, which is more expensive. I didn’t notice until I was home. You can see the label on the container clearly is the wrong item. I been coming to Zara for years because they have great olives. It’s disappointing to see occurrences like this happen.

Friendly staff, fresh and delicious ingredients. My favourite is the sun dried tomatoe and basil pesto.
Really food Italian Meats, Cheeses and Olives. We made some delicious Italian sandwiches for a buffet. They had a great selection of fresh pasta and sauces too, which we didn't get chance to try.
I made delicious bucatini all’Amatriciana and fettuccine Alfredo from buying the fresh pasta at Zara’s. The friendly staff showed me which sauces to pair their pasta with and gave some nice recommendations about their best sellers.
Nice little place. Friendly customer service.Very fresh and delicious salads.
I loved the artisanal pastas and sauces. Good variety of products such as olive oils, balsamic vinegar, pastas, sauces, etc.
